Direct Access 2.6

Abbreviate Your PC

Direct Access 2.6

Text expander software has been saving writers all sorts of time for years -- Direct Access 2 lets you use it to speed and simplify your personal computing experience!

Direct Access 2 is an awesome time-saving utility that utilizes typed abbreviations to facilitate just about any task you and your PC attempt to undertake. For example, just type 'word' to open Microsoft Word, 'goo' to start a Google search or 'sign' to have Direct Access 2 automatically type your signature.

Direct Access 2 provides an overview of all your commands right from the main interface, and lets you type an abbreviation in any application to trigger the associated command. Abbreviations can be associated to groups as well. When triggered, these will display a popup menu from which you can choose the desired command. Use Direct Access 2 abbreviations to perform countless tasks, like typing boilerplate text (great for customer care and for transcriptions), opening applications and folders, or browsing websites, automatically correct spelling mistakes in any application.

Direct Access 2 commands can be easily exported and imported for exchange and sharing, allowing for easy movement between different PCs and even sharing the same command files between different machines at the same time. Not convinced? Direct Access 2 features new usage statistics reports that clearly and concisely display exactly much time you're saving.

If you are doing repetitive typing at your PC (who doesn't?) Direct Access 2 will greatly improve your productivity!

New features in Direct Access 2:

  • Fully redesigned with an easier to use interface
  • Clipboard history
  • Support for rich text in Autotext
  • Ability to call autotext from other commands
  • Easily share commands in a network thanks to linked groups
  • Assign multiple abbreviations to the same command
  • Enhanced search and filtering
  • and more...
Written by Roger Thomasson

Key Features:

  • Have your commands execute automatically as the abbreviation is detected. You can also quickly confirm the typed abbreviation by pressing the SHIFT key.
  • Save keystrokes and reduce RSI!
  • Available in English, German and Italian!
  • Automatically expand an abbreviation to plain and rich text containing even pictures.
  • Use built-in shortcuts to build your commands library: CTRL+SHIFT+W adds an Autotext to enter the current text selection, CTRL+SHIFT+A adds the active application.
  • Group commands together and display them in a menu and quickly choose the desired one from the list.
  • Expand text, launch applications and folders, send pre-compiled emails, open websites and do web searches on Wikipedia, Google, IMDB...
  • Insert text more accurately thanks to the new Sendtext engine that quickly analyzes the length of the text to copy and can decide to type the text directly or use the clipboard for faster and more accurate text insertion.
  • Work smoothly with other software that send keystrokes (like other Macro tools).
  • Easily import your abbreviations from Microsoft Word Autocorrect and other text expander tools so that you can reuse your pre-existing shortcuts.
  • Use the Import Wizard to simplify the process of importing commands from command packs or creating commands from the desktop, quickstart or documents folders.
  • Use macros to insert the current date/time, special characters and even request additional parameters to customize the way your commands work.
  • Use a Send Special Keys macro that can send key combinations to other applications to do basic automation and fill forms.
  • Rich library of prepackaged command and autocorrections available
  • Easily share abbreviations between different computers in the network.

Real Users Say:

  • “Seriously, your software is the most cost effective (ROI) software I have ever known. I get dozens of business emails every day, but really there are only two or three different questions, Direct Access answers them in seconds, not minutes.”- Dr. Ian White, Managing Director of Austin White Ladders Ltd
  • “Having tried other "auto-text" programs in the past, none comes close to Direct Access in terms of elegance, clean user interface and comprehensiveness. Throw in a very responsive developer and you have the perfect combination.”- Geoffrey Miller, Resurgam Books
  • “Great product. I would have paid $500 for it and I do recommend it to my friends and family. I have medical issues with my hands and this saves so many keystrokes and alleviates so much pain. It also works so well with Macro Scheduler. At the price you offer this is a no brainer.”- Charles Chansen, Competitive Edge Products, Inc.

    Hello,

can I use this offer to buy another year of upgrade protection and can you tell if you plan a major upgrade in the next 12 month and if yes give a sneak peak of what features are planned? Thanks.

Have tried it. But I still like my favorite Typing Assistant, more easy to use and .NET framework independent.

I'm still using a licensed 1.6.6 version and I LOVE it. It takes away so much work, especially text in emails

Is there really a good reason for me to upgrade to 2.6 ?

"den said" sounds like the same cheap spammer who also spams on any other occasion when text expander programs are promoted.

DirectAccess is not good (sucks too much memory because of .NET and is very slow) but typing assistant is even worse.
