Jon User Does this software provide a way to remove the voice component of a standard mp3 file so any song can be used in as a KAraoke track? That would make it far more useful as an audio tool.

Little Bear J P : This software appears to lack a fully featured equalizer found on many audio programs which would serve as a method to try and balance out the songs, I've manipulated songs as such before and its worked great! But this software has me wanting more features, and thought it was much much more then what the description says, but it feels like less :-(

Examining the program interface there does not appear to be any protocol in which to update / upgrade the program unless the update is manually downloaded from the developers website? Also the version number is 1.00, which gives me the impression the company may be relatively new, if we did not get the very latest version of the program from the get go...

If you have mac, drag the folder with the DMG and install .

SmoothPower I've downloaded and installed Aria on Win7. It went very smoothly and quickly.
On first run, it defaulted to my Music folder and found my mp3 collection. The interface is fairly intuitive and offers a swiss-armyknife of DJ options. The auto-mix is handy, but I haven't yet discovered how to preview the mix before actually mixing it live. BPM is adjustable to sync tracks A and B but it's at the expense of raising or lowering pitch.
A quick runthrough of Karaoke found a pretty impressive KJ suite with Keychange on-the-fly, optional full-screen or framed lyrics panels. Finding my Karaoke zip files was a bit of a hassle and I didn't see a way to load a full directory of mp3+G files in zip format.
It's fairly easy to create a playlist. An improvement might be if a comment or note field were included to keep track of the karaoke patron who is cued up to sing that track. Even better, it would be terrific if a display toggle were included so that the next two or three songs from the playlist and respective singer names scrolled across the bottom of the screen in a Marquee.
My first impressions are positive. In the Free KJ genre, this seems to be the most useful program I've used to date. Recommended.

jp smith Um, guys... I'm not asking how to get the download. Did indeed "click on the big green button". The problem is that it seems to have downloaded the trial version. At least that's what it looks like the Mac .dmg file installed, because when I actually run the program (any other Mac guys try to yet?) a pop-up SAYS "Trial Mode" and asks for a registration code. Since I didn't have one, I tried the BitsDoujour code (the one for the download). Don't do that. It doesn't like that one bit. Maybe it's a Mac thing and the PC version is fine? Whatever. Free software that doesn't work is no big loss. Oh well.

Nico Westerdale jp, The registration code that is in your email from us should unlock the file, we don't play any games here at Bits!
There might be a chance that your particular registration code does not work, that sometimes happens. If you could re-download and recheck the regcode from the links in the receipt email first, if that does not work I'll send you another one by email.

William Neurauter This software did not install properly after downloading from the link above. I undeleted it & then downloaded it from your email receipt. It appeared to install ok but crashed when attempting to run it.
