Do you remember the joy and amazement you felt the first time you looked into a kaleidoscope? It was magical! Now imagine being able not only to experience that feeling again, but also having the power to create these images, and you’ve just realized the power of ArtScope!

ArtScope lets you build amazing kaleidoscope images and animations right on your computer, without requiring any programming expertise. With ArtScope, you’ll be able to work with amazing bright and saturated colors, while creating an environment of relaxation anchored by a slowly rotating and mesmerizing dance of light. Want to soothe your ears, as well? ArtScope offers the ability to add background music to your works of art.

Technical features of ArtScope include scaling image tiles, opacity tiles, and rotation of image and layer tiles. You can choose to create either symmetric or non-symmetric patterns, and can also turn on and turn off odd sectors. You can even output your images and animations to an HDTV for large-screen viewing.

Gde Swart This is a fun little program. The UI is non-standard and a bit confusing at first. That said, the learning curve is small and worth figuring out because the results are really very cool. I feel like I should have some 1960's psychedelic rock music playing in the background.

Nice giveaway, thanks Helpsoft and BDJ!

Judi Podgurski I am also very excited to get this software, but the registration number will not go in to the field, by copy-paste. I tried to put it in manually, but was told I had an error. I am running Windows 10. Any help to get a working registration number would be greatly appreciated. Happy new year too !

Pat Weber Just installed, but the application won't complete launch. It sits in my taskbar and clicking on the icon in my task bar results in an error sound. I have to right-click the icon and select "close window."

I haven't even had a chance to populate the registration key since it won't completely launch.

Fantyparts This initially looked promising. However, upon installation it appears to be the result of some kind of failed Junior School project. The GUI is a relic of Win95 and the user doesn't have a say in where it decides to install itself. Uninstalled pretty rapidly.

Judi Podgurski OK ! I'vee had some luck, and after a reboot, my copy registered properly. Yay !! Now, the program is working, and I hope to be able to spend some time learning to use it. Not the easiest to get going, but it sure seems like it will be fun. Thanks for the opportunity.

Read MoreDennis Marcucci I download the ArtScope software which ran with the initial registration key screen, at which time I entered the registration key sent to me, but when I reviewed the "I" information the software indicated that the license would expire on March 20, 1917. The fine print in the BitsDuJour offering indicates an indefinite use license of the software. Why doesn't the license of my software indicate a no expiration to its license? Does this software have an indefinite use license?

Thank you for a timely response.

Read Morea User After starting the program I am getting a blue window screen with a small windows on top of it, which shows Artscope's logo, and a bunch of buttons like: a version number, New project, Open recent, Documentation-F1.

I did reinstall the program, but it didn't help and it still wouldn't show the program's larger window with its tools.
So I am going to uninstall this software as I cannot use it, unless Dmitri has a solution to this problem.
I would like to mention that my windows 10 64 bit machine has all the latest updates.

Happy New Year everyone.

Gary Smith @Dimitri;

In the Changelog on the Quickstart page, there are only recent changes. Is there a list of what changed between 1.93 and 1.95?

Thanking you in advance.

Aussie Steve K @ Dmitri User: I have the same problem/concern as Dennis Marcucci > the app is saying the license "expires after Sunday 21 March 2017" this is supposed to be indefinite use according to BitsDuJour...

I can send both items you asked for of Dimitri...but where and how do I send them to you?

Read MoreKoen Andries Norton Internet Security won't allow me to download the installation file.

When I run the installation file with NIS enabled, I'm getting the following warning message :

"Threat Type : Insight Network Threat. There are many indications that this file is untrustworthy and therefore not safe."

Also Windows Installer gives a message stating that the installation file is not a valid Windows Installer Package.

Would it be safe to install the software with NIS disabled ?
Why is it I am the only person on this forum with this problem ?

Read MoreAussie Steve K @Dmitri User.

We do know it is installed on the C:\ drive. The problem is that we get no choice in the matter. In these days of smaller SSD's being the C:\ drive; programs take up too much room! Most of my installed programs are installed on the D:\ drive as this is a large hard-disk with plenty of room.

Very many apps allow the choice of installation drive; and these will always be preferred over those, such as this one, which do not.

And do not bother about replying to my previous question. The app has crashed 3 times this afternoon - for no apparent reason. It seems unstable. I am uninstalling it.

Koen Andries I indeed checked the file on virustotal, and none of the programs (54) detected any problem !
I guess it is safe now to disable NIS before installing.
I wonder though why Windows does not recognize the .msi as a valid installer package.
Anyway ...
