Bill Collina You'd think that a company who sells web page design software would try to write HTML output that passes validation! Their own web page: http://www.webpage-maker.com (built with their software) FAILS validation with 15 errors at: http://validator.w3.org

Robin Loudis Hi Bill, Thanks for your message. We try to ensure that html code produced by our product is as 'compliant' as possible with W3C Standards. If we remove the flash movie and marquee from our site, it will pass through the validator. As far as I know, lots of famous web sites created with other web creators also have such problem. As a comparison, we suggest you run http://www.dreamweaver.com , http://www.microsoft.com , http://www.yahoo.com , etc... and see the results. In general, this will neither affect the appearance of your pages in browsers, nor the search engine. Please feel free to contact us if you have further problems. Thank you

Johnny Chow Look at www.msn.com. they have tons of errors if you turn on the
IE's 'display every javascript errors' features. Sometimes the errors are so serious that it even frozen and you have to close IE and reopen it.

Tom Chatterton I just checked their site and they are down to just 5 errors if that means anything.

Johnny Chow This is a WYSIWYG editor. I never used Frontpage before, I am not sure is they are the same. But consider Frontpage is so old, this one definitely will be better. It is flexible: you can add your own javascript. I used it to create a school website. I added my own javascript menu made with a different menu program. After I generated the HTML, I can use a ordinary HTML editor to make small changes later. The only complaint is that it is a little expensive even after the special offer.

Daniel Goldman @ Bill Um, really? You opened with that? This is a simple, template driven visual static page builder. And it costs $50.

I have no use for this software, and with your knowledge of validation and proper code techniques, obviously neither do you. This is not a product for web developers as Gimp, Built in FTP, and a text editor will render whatever site you want (provided you type it in properly).

This product is obviously aimed at those with less knowledge and less experience than yourself. Lighten up, bro.
