Jan-Christoph Ihrens "- Punch up your graphic design, web development, and marketing collateral creations
- Install the fonts on up to five computers using Mac or Windows"

Well, to use the fonts in web design, I'd have to make them web fonts (e. g. by using fontsquirrel.com) and to upload them to the server. I don't think the license allows this, so how could I possibly use the fonts for web design?

Anthony Abkemeier So to get the Fonts for free, you have to Like it on Facebook first? How can I like something if I haven't even tried it yet? Yes, a bit pedantic, I know. But..... logical and a bit misleading to other customers if they see all these likes when perhaps in reality it might not be as well liked. Not a fan of these like facebook to get offer.

Ahh FontForge. I tip my hat to you Sir. For anyone here who takes a nice looking font for granted, download a copy of FontForge and try making one of your own.
Good to hear that FontFrenzy is meeting your needs, another good free font manager is NexusFont. Both are pretty basic but so much better than letting Windows handle fonts alone.
As you have probably figured out, I'm an admitted font-aholic. I used Extensis for years, but have recently converted to MainType, both play well with Adobe products, but neither one is cheap. I think Printers Apprentice is pretty solid especially with the BDJ discount.

It´s not so difficult to download.. In fact it´s the easyest way.. You will get a reciept in your inbox (e-mail) wich includes download link and serial number (if needed)

Just hit the BIG GREEN "get it for free button" - A new page follows in wich the Like buttons apears If you DON´T use Facebook (I don´t) just click "questionnaire" written in blue, found down in the right corner at the end of the offer (right from the continue).. It takes the time you wan´t to use or 10 seconds ;)
Voila! Check out with you name and email and you reciept arrives pronto in your mail with all the details you need :)

If the offer has no limitations exept free upgrades and support you can allways (allmost) reinstal from the reciept, so a good idea will be to save it ;)

Read MoreQuill Pen Can't get enough fonts. Over the years, we have downloaded a tremendous number from the various free and pay per font sites, but aside from a few thousand favorites (LOL) we only install them as needed for a particular purpose. We use several different free and built in font managers to keep them under control in well-ordered groups.
Not speaking directly about the fonts in today's offer - haven't tested them yet; but one caution I'd offer to newbies eager to create their first "ransom note" birthday announcement or SOHO service flyer - for any font you want to use in a project, FIRST run a test on your favorite PDF creator to make sure the output displays each font properly before you invest time creating any text-related presentation, novel, announcement, advertising, etc.
It's not enough that they look good on your PC (say, in Word or Photoshop) because the many PDF creators out there are not equal in their ability to handle fonts (or formatting, for that matter!)
I forgot to do that recently and then had to waste an hour going through the final multi-page draft with a fine-toothed comb when I spotted wonky output in a PDF sample. It's an hour I'll never get back and an hour I can't bill.

Quill Pen Hmm, I wrote before reading Louis' comment about AMP. I concur. It's been one of our desktop shortcuts for years! The GUI may be the best we've seen except for one unintuitive step that took a bit of experimenting to resolve.
If you want to both view your entire list of installed fonts in one window AND move them to various groups (categories), you have to click on the Interchangeable Windows option under VIEW (F2), else the installed inventory window is frozen while you're in the categories window. Hope that's clear.

Jane Blue I might have bought the premium fonts if you'd have had a screenshot of some of them. Seems kind of funny you have a screenshot of the free fonts but not the premium fonts. It's like you want to give away the free fonts more than you want to sell the premium fonts. Weird approach to marketing, to say the least. Bob Nailor I seem to be in some sort of eternal loop. I "purchased" the free fonts, got the email, clicked on the link which takes me back to the offer, click on "Get It Free" and go through the whole process again to be greeted with "Already purchased" and now I don't know what to do. Nothing downloaded, no link to download. What did I do wrong?

Jason Hogrefe Daniel Gaudet, Premium Fonts includes all past versions. It is a growing collection of fonts.

Jason Hogrefe Jim Stone, yes you can use the fonts on a website as long as you don't make the web font freely available to the public.

Rob Anders Maybe I don't fully understand fonts, however, after installing the "1000 Open Type Fonts" on my Windows 8.1 computer my PC shows only 379 fonts. That's probably how many fonts I had prior to downloading this item. Have I done something wrong? I received an e-message which stated "The application is already unlocked which means you do not need a registration code."

Read MoreConstantin Florea @Bob Nailor and @John Fincham - After you click on the Download link in the receipt emails you should be redirected to the promotion page and:
- the download should start automatically. I understand that in your case this doesn't happen.
- at the top of the promotion page just above the title, there should be the following text: "Your download will start in a moment, if you do not see it click here" and "here" is a link pointing to the installer.

Could you please let me know if you can see the "Your download will start in a moment, if you do not see it click here" at the top of the promotion page after clicking the Download link in the receipt email?

Bob Nailor I don't know if the earlier comment went thru or not. So, here it is again. I click on the email link and it takes me to this page w/ 3 vars set to "SiteMail" "medium" and "5" while the green "Get it free" only has 1 var set to "true" No offer to download, no messages to download, no automatic start of download. If you would like to discuss this offline - use loreATrolian.com Thanks.

Patricia Lange Jason Hogrefe:

I "purchased" your free fonts early this morning. 12 hours later I have yet to receive an e-mail with the download link and license info. Did I follow the wrong procedure? The e-mail is not in my Junk folder or the trash. What should I do now?

Bob Nailor @Constantin Florea I have changed my browser from Google, to Internet Explorer, to Firefox. All of them appear to have javascript enabled since I've downloaded several other things in the past, even this morning. Of course, nothing happened on any of the browsers. Is this what the address is suppose to be? http://www.bitsdujour.com..._content=5

Robert Reese The survey is broken. When I complete it, it just drops into an endless loop.

Also, are all of these also included in the Premium deal?

Constantin Florea @Robert Reese - I just tried the surveys flow in several browsers and I did manage to get the deal in the end. There is indeed an issue in the sense that after choosing the survey for a version, you are asked to specify the version again but after specifying the version the second time, the purchase flow goes on correctly. We have already fixed this issue but we will not be able to release it until later this week.

Read MoreRobert Reese @Constantin Florea - The survey is working correctly now, thank you.

There is another issue, though: the email contained no links in plain-text. Unfortunately, all of your emails contain no links, which makes it difficult for we plain-text email users to get the deals.

Please resend the download link as an exposed/raw link.

Thank you very much!
Robert~

Daniel Gaudet @Robert Reese: Above and beyond the 2,500+ fonts you mentioned, if you don't mind signing up to MacAppWare's mailing list, you can get an additional 515 fonts. From the description: "You can use these 515 fonts for any personal and commercial project, and each font includes a 1 user user license."

You can access it from the front page of MacAppWare's website.

(I am not affiliated with MacAppWare, just a happy customer).

VLM Daniel Gaudet - Thank you for sharing that opportunity. It's such a small, quiet button, off by itself on the web page, that I didn't even notice it until you pointed it out.

Jason Hogrefe - You might wish to make that button a bit more visible, and change the text to something more descriptive. For example, "Subscribe to our newsletter and receive ___ free fonts." Then put a "Subscribe" button under that. Just a thought. :)

lee cooke Would be nice to be actually able to download the file!

The email just resends me to the BitsDuJour site, to start the process all over again...

Tried two different email addresses, it didn't even come through on my gmail account...

Guess I'll never see the fonts...

Constantin Florea @lee cooke - The issue you mention happens because Javascript is disabled on the browser which opens the Download link.

Robert Reese @Judith Holgate - Just FYI, Java and JavaScript are two completely different things. It's the JavaScript that is the culprit for this.

Keith Long Quick question. I am a small-time software developer who is working on an app that creates HTML documents. I am looking for some fonts that I can legally embed into my application. Users will then use my app to create HTML documents which will in turn contain embedded Web fonts... My app will include no more than 50 or so font options to choose from (like a basic word processor). However, the generated/created HTML documents would include embedded Web fonts (depending which the fonts the users use to format their text). Users would then have full right to distribute their documents as they see fit. Thanks.
