There is no mention in the description here that a platinum version exists, but apparently this deal is for the standard version and not the platinum version. Yob Ynnub "Aiseesoft iPhone Transfer lets you transfer media between your PC and your iPhone without using iTunes", while this may be true, you still MUST have iTunes installed on your pc to get this software to work. In my opinion that completely negates any value to this software, the entire point for many is to AVOID having iTunes on your system. If you have to install iTunes anyway, why not just use iTunes?

Adam Bridge Yes I agree - I don't want ITunes on my PC at all - this seems to suggest that with this software that you don't need it at all - until you read the fine print. So I consider this is somewhat deceptive advertising - "without using ITunes" - but you do need to "use it by virtue of having it installed and having its services running." Even if this program is free to BDJ members I think the advertising blurb should make this clear !

Syn Co Besides agreeing with other commentators that the presentation is misleading (Standard vs. Platinum) the price seems to have gone up at their site as well ($29 here, now $35 on the site), there is also no mention of how much an eventual upgrade would cost, seeing that the offer lacks a lot of the useful functions the Platinum version has. Why not offer a deal on that as well? Say, with %50 discount at $5 to upgrade from Standard to Platinum. Now that might make it easier for some people to forget about the iTunes misinformation as well.
