Michael R. What's the difference between Basic and Pro?
So, if I change my computer, I'll have to rebuy it, because I can't transfer license?
Is it possible to get the 60% discounts when buying more than one items at once (e.g. buying 5 pieces of EDO Pro costs 55$ on your website, so can I buy it today for 60% of that price)?

Gary User I tried to purchase two pro licenses - after clicking the paypal payment method - it took me to paypal, then a screen popped up stating that something went wrong and the paypal didn't go through - returning me to the order page to redo the order, which I did, then it went through.

However, I was then charged for two 2-licenses (I got two separate license emails, showing a total of 4 different licenses). Apparently the first order did go through - how do I get a refund for the first order?

HJ User Upon installation, this program creates six three inch strips, respectively labeled Programs, Folders, Music, Videos Documents and Other Files. There are four buttons on each strip, one of which opens the strip into a windows that is about 3 inches by 3 inches. When a window is open, you can drag files from the desktop or elsewhere into it. Although I have not gotten that fire, it looks like you can create numerous additional strips with labels of your choosing.

What significant differences are there between creating a folder for each category of file, or using this program?

When you open a window, such as a browser or email window or any other application window, the window is constrained to be limited by the space to the left of this program's strips. For me, that is not a desirable feature because I like a full screen browser, email window, word document, etc.

Graham Bourne I have filled out a "ticket" on your web site reporting a very disappointing experience with a trial version of this program (pro).

I took that course to contact you because I did not want to make all the details public in this comments section.

I am stuck in a position of not knowing whether to purchase the program or not and would appreciate your replying to my "ticket" before the discount period expires.

Many thanks.

Robert H Did not see the response to Michael R's question: How do we apply the 60% to purchase a license for multiple PCs?

Graham Bourne Earlier, I posted a note to the developer in these comments explaining that I had opened a ticket on their web site regarding a bad experience with a trial of this program.
I received a not very friendly reply telling me I shouldn’t have posted such a note on this web site and telling me that the bad experience was my own fault for not knowing how to use the program (on my first attempt at setting it up!).
This reply did not sit too well with me so I have decided to use the comments section for what it is intended, i.e. to post comments, so that any interested person can read of my initial experience with the program:
THIS IS THE COMMENT I SENT TO THE COMPANY’S WEB SITE:
To the developer. Trialling this program (the PRO version) has proved for me to be disastrous!
Before taking advantage of the Bits du Jour discount offer, I decided to accept the invitation to try out your Easy Desktop Organiser Pro.
I expected to be able to create new folders, name them and then be able to dictate where each item (program, document, folder, etc.) would be moved to! Which is what I understood more or less from the program description.
I tried to follow the instructions but there was no description of how the setup would be done and that it would actually move everything off my desktop; and certainly no warning was given that installing the program to TRY it, would MOVE practically all my desktop files, folders, shortcuts programs, etc. from their carefully positioned desktop spots to some other Folders without giving me a chance to decide where they would go. I would have expected perhaps a dummy run of moving about ten or so files into 2 or 3 newly created folders- just to see how to do it!
However, the program took over two hours to manipulate my files during which time I was slowly becoming more and more alarmed when I saw things disappearing from my desktop. I didn’t dare stop the process because of the effect it might have on the items being moved!
Eventually it finished “reclassifying” everything and I began to see the damage caused! It had, for example, separated all my HTML documents, sending the “HTML” file to be mixed in among the OTHER FILES category and the “FILE” folders to the (general) FOLDER category!
My MS Office WORD program has disappeared to some place from my desktop, but my Excel program was still there, but now I can’t find that either.
It arbitrarily moved things into pre-categorised folders. Thereby separating some things which should be kept together and mixing up other files which were previously kept separately, like WORD, EXCEL, PDFs and Notes files;
I am a photographer and all my photography software was kept apart from other software. Now it is all mixed up with random programs in the PROGRAMS folder. I had dozens of folders full of photographs, all kept separately, they are all now mixed up among hundreds of folders in the FOLDERS folder!
I want to undo all this, for me, chaotic classification but cannot find how to do it.
Is there a way to get my files back to where they were before installing your program? I somehow doubt it and, even if there is, I’m not sure that I’d want to risk using it! If you can’t help me to undo this, then to keep this order and be able to learn how to take advantage of any other functions the program might offer, I see no option but to make the purchase.
I would be interested in your comments.
Thank you.
END OF COMMENT

My earlier note I expect is still visible among these comments. The fact that I posted such a note was not looked upon very favourably by the agent who replied to it. I didn’t think that the comments section is only for favourable thoughts!
To top it all, I have since discovered (realised) that all the links between my photographs and the Lightroom cataloguing system have been cut (because to maintain the links, photos storage positions must only be altered by Lightroom itself). This will now be a major manual job to reconnect all those links. I hope I get no more unpleasant surprises.
Obviously, I have decided not to purchase the program, as I find the instructions do not cover (warn about) all the points the user should be aware of BEFORE attempting to use the program. I also looked for options for sorting files but saw only an alphabetical one. Perhaps there were others, but I couldn’t find them! I would have been interested in sorting options for at least file types, file sizes and file dates.
I didn’t experiment more with the program so I cannot comment on any other of its aspects. Perhaps it will be brilliant, but I have decided to live without it!

HJ User I agree with the assessment of Grahame Bourne. I never received any reply to my own prior inquiry and comment.

After my prior comment, I attempted to work with the program. I started by reading their pitifully inadequate help screens. I then played their very long video that has no audio or text. That, too, was almost totally unhelpful.

Given the complications that this adds to your desktop and the numerous undocumented changes it makes in your operating system and the amateurish guidance, this program is a dangerous and unhelpful waste of time.

Adi Abir I bought the program but couldn't install it because the Norton Antivirus found it to be malicious.

I wrote the company and their response was

'the software is safe and clean. Please disable the Anti Virus during the setup process and enable it after finalizing the setup.'

I would rather take Norton's word and instead of theirs and have no intention of bypassing my antivirus protection.

Take it into account when you consider buying this product.

Please note that all comments for this promotion will be screened before posting. It's nothing personal, just a step we have to take because of a few bad apples last time around.
