Best 3 Wheel Pushchairs

All-terrain pushchair with lightweight durability and excellent maneuverability. Its compact one-hand fold makes it's easy to transport and also freestanding when folded. The padded seat reclines into an almost flat position and there's a huge storage bin and canopy. Baby-friendly? Yes and with a carrycot.

Air-filled tyres and a good suspension can handle rough terrain. You can also use it to jog. However, you should wait until your baby is at least 6 or 9 months old.

Ickle Bubba Air

This pushchair from Ickle Bubba is a brilliant option for parents looking for lightweight strollers with added features. The travel system includes a lie flat carrycot for infants as well as an adjustable rear and forward facing seat for a pushchair.

The XL Air is a really impressive vehicle and it's easy to see why it has received so many high marks from its customers. It's incredibly light - both the chassis and wheels weigh just 6.5kg - and it's also super-easy to put together. In fact, I was able to get the whole thing up and running in less than five minutes, which is impressive considering it included a strapping of the fabric for the carrycot!

It has a lovely, wide seat that was comfortable for Annie (who is 12 months old) and the recline lever is easy to operate. There's a good amount of room in the basket and I like the fact that it comes with a zip-up pocket in the handle bar so that you can keep your phone and keys secure!

The handlebar is low, which can be an issue for parents who are taller. It's covered in soft, supple leather-like material, and is easy to wipe down.

Hauck Pushchair Runner

The Runner is made for sporty parents who want to get outside and explore. The large pneumatic wheels are able to be used on forest and field paths. The front wheel is lockable and can be rotated to allow for greater versatility. The stroller also comes with five-point safety harnesses with an adjustable front bar that will keep your child safe during all journeys. The parking brake will keep the stroller stationary while you take a rest. The seat can be repositioned to lay flat and the canopy can be opened for maximum air circulation during hot days. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30 centimeters to accommodate dad or mum's heights.

Whether you're going for short jogs or a hike that lasts a while The Runner is ready to join you on all your adventures with a reclining, fully-flat seat and suspension air wheels that guarantee an unhurried ride. The front wheel can be locked for more stability on narrow streets or overcrowded sidewalks. The stroller can also be folded up to fit in car boot spaces or storage areas.

The Runner 2 is a bit more difficult to navigate for some parents than its predecessor. Also, the locking system (requiring two buttons on either side of the handlebar) is less user-friendly. The handlebar is higher than other strollers and therefore it may not work for smaller parents, but overall this is an extremely sturdy and flexible stroller worthy of consideration for families with active kids.

Red Kite Push Me pacing

The Pace is a different great product from Red Kite, an affordable British brand that is known for its well-designed and no-fuss parenting essentials. It's the newest and most expensive addition to their bargain lightweight stroller collection. It's also, like the Ickle Bubba Aurora and Yoyo it's car seat-compatible so that you can use it right from birth (the carrycot folds away).

The new Pace features some stunning design features such as a rose-gold tint on the chassis, hood and stroller trims that really set it apart. The cream, grey, and tan fabrics on the stroller and the car seat are super elegant and there is the option of adding an coordinating leather handle for the cover and bumper bar too.

It's suitable for babies up to a maximum weight of 22kg and the stroller seat converts easily from the carrycot to the 2-in-1 reversible mode. It can be parent-facing or world-facing. three wheel pushchair comes with multiple lie back positions, soft padded leg rest support and an extended sun canopy that has concealed zip sections, viewing through flaps and an adjustable sun visor.

Furthermore, when folded it's Pace measures up at 56 32 x 43 cm which means it passes for hand luggage with Easyjet and Ryanair among other airlines. It's also easy to collapse, with two buttons on the handlebar's opposite side which just click in and pop up.

Bugaboo Fox 5,

Created to be the ultimate all-terrain stroller, Bugaboo's latest Fox 5 promises to do it all. Its unique chassis, with a shorter wheel-distance, makes it more maneuverable than its predecessor. I put it to the test with my two children - an infant and an eight week old - over rocky pavements along woodland paths, grassy trails and even cobblestones.

The wheels that are puncture-proof are large - 22cm and 30cm - so they can cope with many different terrains. The wheels have flaps that can be opened or closed to let more air in when required. It's a bit bigger than most pushchairs, but it doesn't feel bulky or heavy when you push it over bumpy surfaces.

The fabric for the seat can be machine washed and the faux leather frames and grips are easy to clean. It is also quieter than other pushchairs, and I felt at ease in the city streets. It comes with accessory points so you can attach footmuffs and parasols along with changing bags as well as snack trays and even snack trays. The hood can be used to block out rain and wind, but it's not waterproof. The single pram is able to be fitted with the Comfort Wheeled board (not included) which allows your child more legroom. The bassinet took 20 minutes to set-up and it took about the same amount of time to convert it into a seat.

UPPAbaby Ridge

Whether you're enjoying a morning jog under the stars or taking a moonlit stroll in the crisp air, the UPPAbaby Ridge turns every moment into a shared experience. This jogging stroller is all-terrain and has been designed to perform to keep you and your child active.

The massive 12" and 16" foam-filled tires give you an effortless ride, no matter the terrain. The suspension is patented, allowing you to glide across woodland paths with minimal impact on your child's legs and rear. The handbrake that is designed for performance allows you to quickly stop, even when jogging on the downhill slope.

The Ridge is at home in all city scenes from bustling farmers' markets to street musicians playing music. The large basket can accommodate all your essentials and market purchases, while the large canopy provides sun and wind protection. The large front canopy unzips to reveal two mesh peekaboo windows that make it simple to observe your baby's surroundings.

The Ridge's reversible seat lets you to decide whether your child will face the world in front of them or you and its easy foot brake system is easy for new parents. A great feature is the reversible handlebar, which allows you to adjust it to your height and preference. The Ridge's fold, unlike other strollers for jogging, is sturdy and self-standing when folded.

iCandy Core

The new pushchair from iCandy is truly revolutionary and has a lot of features that are really going to wow parents. It comes with a multi-mode wheelbase as well as an LED Visibility Hub light that is a first in the industry. It also features an integrated Ride-on Board which helps save on future costs and makes it easier for an exhausted toddler to accompany your family on outings.

The Core can be purchased in a single unit or as an entire travel system. it is compatible with the most popular car seats from brands such as Cybex, Maxi Cosi and Joie. It is the largest seat unit of the iCandy line, so you can use it for your baby's first years and beyond. It's a gorgeously designed pushchair, and it is made of premium knitted fabric. The child's bumper bar and the handlebar that parents can adjust are made of soft leatherette. The fold-away calf supports are also very comfortable for children.

It was impressive how easily it folded and collapsed even with the seat unit attached. It is easily tucked away in your boot or hallway, making it ideal for travel. The iCandy Core comes with lots of extra accessories, including a colour matching changing rucksack and a footmuff/liner.
