Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt) and wet mess (spills or stains) in one time without the need to change devices. They also can save space compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot should have impressive navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models with docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.

1. robot vacuum cleaner of the easiest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start manual gets you running in no time. You'll have a the complete dust bag, water tank, and hard floor solution.

The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can mops up a storm and vacuums well too. The mops are spun at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a range of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you choose the kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.

For example, you can choose to have the robot do a deep clean in the living and kitchen but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation tech are also excellent and the robot is able to detect tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. The only issue it has is that it can crash into walls and objects at a high speed, but an instant glance at the cleaning history in the app tells you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading and the obstacles it's avoided.

A large LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance jobs need to be done including emptying the debris tray and rinsing its dirty water tank. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank, with a 600ml bottle of Eufy's own solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop can operate for 184 mins in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in standard mode, before needing recharging or returning to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive that lets you see all the details of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop is the most recent version. It's not like the model from last year it comes with two agitators in its mopping pad which significantly improves its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pick up small hairs and other particles that other robotic cleaners might miss.

Like the other two Roborock models I've tried the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that help it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes two cameras that can recognize objects, determining if they're walls or other surfaces. It can then automatically change its direction and clean them without skipping a beat.

It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is eye catching and only has three physical buttons. The power button, which restarts the cleaning process mop button, which doubles as a child lock and a home button to send the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin automatically refills.

The only downside I found with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. You can replace the mopping cloth when required, but it's a challenge to remove the mount to wash it manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mount, which can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of smart features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can set up and manage these through the Roborock app, which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings, monitor battery life and component maintenance. You'll need to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering how well-performing it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with cutting-edge features, high suction power and advanced mopping capabilities. Its clever design permits customised and efficient cleaning while saving you time.

The X40 is the first robotic vacuum cleaner to deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the most effective options available. This powerful vacuum removes the dry mess, which includes pet hair and food particles. It also comes with a high-quality mop that leaves floors sparkling clean, even with a wet pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet when in operation with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.

Another noteworthy characteristic is the X40's extendable and liftable side brushes, which lets it get into difficult-to-access corners and clean furniture such as table and chairs' legs. It also lets the robot to reach under furniture with a low profile, making it a great option for apartments or condos with limited space. The side brush also automatically tilts down when detecting wet spots, which is a nice feature that helps the X40 keep floors safe from damage caused by the frequent back-and-forth movement.

Contrary to other robots which solely focus on one task, the X40 can perform both vacuuming and mopping simultaneously or separately. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors and not skip carpeted areas, and reverse the process. It can be controlled via the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.

The app is simple to use and understand, and the X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are simple to install. Users can program the X40 for cleaning at specific times. It can also be adjusted to adjust suction power, alter modes, view floor plans and maps, and control mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and notify you when it's done.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many convenient features that make it a great option for busy families. The docking station automatically cleans the dustbin and the mop pads and refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It can also detect the moment when the mop pad has reached its capacity to the max and alert you to the situation prior to it bursting.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's one of the most expensive on the market however, it comes with a lot of extra features that make it stand out. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It uses two high-speed mops to clean floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and it has an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa. This is significantly higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can clean pet hair and small dirt particles as well as picking up spills and wet spots.

The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station every time they are used. This is a fantastic feature because it prevents the growth of odours and mould in storage, and it also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. This is a system has yet to be seen on other robot vacuums and mop models and it could be a good method of keeping your home cleaner for longer.

There are plenty of options, including the option to schedule cleanings and change preferences. They can be set through the app, or via buttons on the device itself. automatic vacuum cleaner is simple to use and has a lot of options for customizing the cleaning routine, and there are many functions that other robots don't include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power when it detects dust particles, instead of relying on a manual setting.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks elegant and elegant. It's a bit heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots in this list - at around 4kg however it's not overly heavy, and is sturdy and well-built. The mopping system is well-designed and the double-rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them reach even 2mm below the baseboards.
