CAMHS ADHD Assessment

If your child is having significant problems, you may be referred to CAMHS to conduct an assessment. It is crucial that the professional who refers you provides the team with as much information as possible about your child's difficulties.

This report presents the themes and subthemes. This is the first study that uses a qualitative QI approach to analyze the waiting time for ADHD assessments. The findings of this research will be used to guide future improvement initiatives within CAMHS. This could include reconsideration of the way that waiting lists are managed, as well as ways to support young children and adolescents as waiting for an appointment. The findings from this research will also be used to guide the future commissioning and delivery in the UK of a service for children and adolescents with ADHD.
