Izziwotnot's Bailey Sleigh cot bed isn't the most affordable, but it's stylish and well-constructed. It's simple to put together however it does require two people. It is beautiful in any nursery. Our panel loved the dark wood and the dowel sides. It's sturdy enough to be used until your baby becomes a toddler. It also complies with British safety standards. The depth isn't that deep that your child can climb out, and the distance between the slats shouldn't be greater than 65mm, which will prevent their head from getting trapped. It is important to remember that you'll need purchase a mattress separately that is an additional PS88.

This cot stands out due to of its shape-shifting sleigh design. It's also very simple to put your baby in and out of, which is a big benefit. It's slightly more expensive than some other cot beds, however our panel felt it was worth the extra cash for the style and the durability.


The cot bed comes in country pine or walnut finishes. It can be used from birth. It comes with three mattress heights, so you can start your baby off with the base high up to make it easier for them to access it throughout the day and the night, and then lower it as they grow. Silver Cross' westport design is a different cot that has an excellent feel and is built to last. It can be used as a cot starting at birth, then as a toddler bed and finally to become a junior bed (toddler guard rails are sold separately). It was a little challenging for our panel members to convert the cot into a bed however, their other half of the panel reported that it was simple and took less than 5 minutes. It's also a bit more expensive than other cots but it's a style you'd likely want to keep for your children as they grow older.
