Robots That Vacuum and Mop Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris (dust dirt) and wet messes (spills or stains) in one time without the need to switch out devices. They can also save space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces. A good combination bot must be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacle avoidance. Look for models that have docks that let them automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks and wash the mopping pads. 1. Eufy S1 Pro It's one of the simplest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start manual gets you running in no time. You'll have a the complete dust bag, water tank, and hard floor solution. The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that mops up a storm and is a great vacuum cleaner too. Its mops spin at high speeds and apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of dirt, pet hair and dried sticky spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a range of brushes and attachments, and a user-friendly application that lets you select the kind of cleaning you'd like for each room. For instance, you can decide to let the robot do a deep clean in the living and kitchen areas but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and its smart navigation technology are also excellent, with the robot being capable of detecting small obstacles that other models struggle with. Its only issue is that the robot is known to smash into walls and objects at full speed. However looking at robot vacuums reviews of cleaning on the app will tell you exactly what the robot done, where it is traveling, and what obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided. A convenient LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance tasks need to be done including emptying the debris tray and washing the water tank that is dirty. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank with a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution. Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time as well, with the mop being capable of operating for 184 minutes in Quiet mode, while the vacuum is able to do 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or return to the base to refill. And you can see the entire cleaning information in the app, which is intuitively laid out and is easy to comprehend although we would like to be able to differentiate between a vacuum and mop clean, when looking at a cleaned area in the history of cleaning. 2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's most popular robot vacuum and mop is the most recent version. In contrast to the model of last year it comes with a double agitator in its mopping pad, which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to remove small hairs and other particles that other robotic cleaners may overlook. As with the two other Roborock models I've tested it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to help it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes a dual-camera that can identify objects, and determine if they're walls or other surfaces. It can then automatically change its direction and clean the objects without a pause. It's the most expensive model I've tried however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek, angular style is eye-catching and it only has three physical buttons that include the power button which also resumes cleaning; a mop-only button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can return the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml of water tank. The water tank will empty itself, and the bin is auto-refilling. The only negative I discovered with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if needed) however, it's a hassle to remove the mount itself to wash manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, which can cause scratches. The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of smart features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app is where you can manage and set up these features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app also lets you to schedule cleanings, monitor the battery life and maintain your components. But you'll need to jump through a few hurdles to enable voice control on this model, which is a shame considering how well it performs otherwise. 3. Dreame X40 The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a market leader with innovative features, superior suction power, and advanced mopping capabilities. Its intelligent design allows for customized and efficient cleaning while also saving time. The X40 is the first robotic vacuum cleaner to provide 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the most effective options available. This powerful vacuum removes the dry mess, which includes pet hair and crumbs. It also comes with a high-quality mop that makes hard floors spotlessly clean, even without a wet pad. Additionally the X40 is extremely quiet during operation, only producing occasional squeaks of sound when switching modes or when completing self-maintenance tasks. The X40 also has a side brush that can be lifted and extended. This lets it reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean furniture with curved edges like table and chair legs. The robot is also able to reach under low-profile furnishings which makes it a great option for apartments with small spaces or condos. The side brush automatically tilts down when detecting wet spots. This is a nice addition that assists the X40 avoid damaging floors with excessive back-and-forth movements. Unlike other robots, which are limited to one task, the X40 can vacuum and mop at the same time. It can also be programmed to skip areas with carpet and mop only hard floors or vice versa. It can be controlled using the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for smooth voice-controlled operation. The app is simple to use and intuitive and the X40 has many smart features that are easy to configure. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, look at floor plans and maps, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress and notify you when it's done. The X40 is easy to keep clean and has many features that make it a great choice for busy families. The docking station will automatically cleans the dustbin and the mop pads and refill them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It also can detect when the mop pad is filled and notify you before it overflows, thus reducing the necessity for manual maintenance. 4. L20 Ultra The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive available and comes with a lot of additional features that distinguish it from. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub that utilizes two mops that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and it comes with a high maximum suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can remove pet hair and other small dirt particles - as well as picking up spills and wet spots. Its mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after each use. This is a great feature because it stops mould and unpleasant odours from building up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen before on other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great method to keep your home clean longer. There are a lot of choices, including the possibility to schedule cleanings and change preferences. These can be set via the app or buttons that can be found on the device itself. The app is simple to use and has a lot of options for customizing the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are numerous functions that other robots don't have - such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles, rather than using an individual setting. The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks elegant and elegant. It's a little heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots on this list, at 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy either, and it feels robust and well built. The mopping design is also excellent, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors and in corners. They can even reach down to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice touch.
