The Best Bedside Cot

The cribs are designed to be placed at your bedside they allow you to get your baby in at 3 am for night feeds or nappy changes. They also make a great alternative to a Moses basket.

Sleeping safely is a recommendation from the Lullaby Trust and NHS recommends babies sleep in a cot, away from your bed to reduce the risk of suffocation or overheating. This cozy option was a favourite among our mum testers. It glides in a motion that helps to bring babies to sleep.

The Roomie Glide is an innovative bedside cot by English brand Joie that is designed to help you co-sleep in a safe manner without sharing the bed. It comes with the glide which glides smoothly and gently to help ease your baby into sleep without you needing to leave the bed. A glide lock is also included that locks the glide into place when your child is asleep. There are also safety straps that secure it to your bed, and retractable wheels that allow you to move it whenever you want to.

The curvaceous cocoon design with softly padded sides and double-mesh windows add to the comfort and security of your little sleeper. It's also easy to put together and disassemble, making it perfect to take on trips and then pack away. The cot comes with a machine-washable mattress cover and is easy to clean. Additional sheets of cotton are available in two-packs.

This bedside cot rotates 360 degrees, allowing you to be closer to your child's bed for a safe sleeping. The side wall is patented and can be raised and then returned automatically so that you can take care of your baby from the bed without having to get away from the crib which is crucial for mothers who have just had C-sections.

The mesh is breathable, allowing air to flow in and gives you an excellent view of your baby. The mattress is firm enough for both daytime naps and nighttime sleep.
