How to Replace the Battery in the Skoda Octavia Key

Two assistants make use of this information, the Front Assistance (forward crash warning and emergency brake) and the Adaptive cruise Assistant.

The RS version of the third-generation Octavia is the most powerful and fastest with a of 178 horsepower 1.8-litre straight-4 turbocharged engine. In 2002, a limited number of WRC-replicas were produced. They were all white and had rally decals.

How to change a Skoda Octavia key

The battery in the key fob on all Octavia models is replaceable and can be replaced at home. You will need to fold out the key and separate the transmitter section from the front of the key. Then using your thumb or a screwdriver, open the cover in the region of the arrows and remove the old battery. Insert the new battery, and make sure the + symbol is facing downwards (this is also shown on the housing of the transmitter). Then, replace the cover and press down.
