What is the Audi Advanced Key?

Audi is a firm believer in comfort and convenience. This is why all new models in our showroom have keyless entry and starting. This allows you to get into your car and start driving, while keeping your key fob in your pocket or your purse.

audi car keys by using proximity sensors located in the doors and trunks, paired with a key radio pulse generator in the key fob. Here are some of the things you need to know about Audi Advanced Key:

1. Proximity Detection

An Audi with proximity detection enables you to start and enter your car without having to pull the key from your pocket or purse. This access and authorization system works by automating data exchange between the convenience key and your car that allows you to unlock the trunk and doors and even start the engine with just a press on your key.

A sound-based sensor is also referred to as a capacitive sensor, detects the presence of objects nearby by utilizing an acoustic wave. The sensors generate an electrical signal by using an oscillator. This signal is released into the air via a microphone which transforms it into an audio file. The audio files are then evaluated to determine their similarity and proximity. If they are similar enough the system will send a wake-up signal to the key and will send an ID signal that matches with the vehicle.

The first step towards an easier and more comfortable driving experience is proximity detection. The Audi advanced key has remote start, which allows you the ability to start your car from outside the range of your key's FOB. This is helpful when loading groceries into the boot, securing your children in their seats or packing for a trip with the family.

Audi pre sense basic is a security feature that helps you avoid accidents by taking action prior to a collision occurs. It uses data from several other systems, including the front camera as well as radar sensors and Audi side assist to determine the probability of a collision and alert drivers. It can also trigger automatic braking at speeds up to 250 km/h (155.3) and inform the driver via a message in the virtual cockpit and head-up display.

2. Authentication

When you press your key fob's lock button, the Audi advanced key system communicates with the car's sensors. This sends a code to the car's system that confirms that the key fob is a valid key fob. This safeguards against unauthorized access to the vehicle without the proper key fob.

It also allows drivers to start their vehicles using the key fob inside the pocket or purse. The Audi advanced key system uses proximity sensors inside the trunk lid and doors and the radio pulse generator on the key fob. When the key fob is within five feet of the vehicle, the sensors sense your presence and unlock the doors. When you then use the door handle or open the trunk the vehicle detects your key and kicks off the engine.

You can also utilize the key fob in order to activate the push-button feature of your vehicle. You can start the engine by pressing the Start/Stop buttons integrated into the center console when the key fob is in your pocket or purse. The car's sensors will verify the key fob is authentic and start the engine once they have confirmed it.

The Audi advanced key system has a keyless entry feature that lets you open your vehicle doors by simply touching the handle on the outside of the door. It's a fantastic feature to use when you've got hands full or wearing gloves. For instance, when you're bringing groceries or children in the car. The system comes with a trunk-release button that allows you to open the trunk using the kick motion. This is an excellent option for those who have to carry lots of food items or children into the vehicle.

You can unlock your car by touching a button or sensor mounted on the handle of the door (some models also have this technology inside the lock). If you're carrying a key fob, it'll send an alert to activate the sensors of the vehicle so that it knows you're in the vicinity and that your finger is firmly on the button. This will prevent unauthorised access to the vehicle by making sure that only you have access to the doors.

Keyless entry systems often include the ability to remotely start your car without a physical key. This is done by through sensors in the trunk, tailgate and sometimes even in the vehicle's doors. These sensors will turn on the vehicle's engine and unlock the doors when the fob is within the distance of the car, typically around 5 feet. Then, you can press a button to start your car. This is a great method to warm your car prior to when you leave in the morning for work or when it's cold outside.

Some of the most advanced keyless entry systems don't even require fobs. The cars can be started and unlocked with a smartphone application. This is a great solution for families or business owners who wish to give their employees easy access to company vehicles. Some keyless entry systems can even keep track of the driver's preferred seat position and cabin temperature. This could be a major time saver when you're driving towards the parking lot.

One of the most advanced keyless entry systems includes a rear hatch function which is activated by a simple foot wave. It will shut and secure the cargo area automatically. This technology is offered in many Audi models and may be included as an option as a standard feature or an upgrade depending on the model. Be aware that these systems aren't foolproof and can be circumvented by skilled thieves with technical expertise or tools.

4. Push-Button Start

Audi is, unlike other car brands that provide remote starting in the factory, does not provide this feature in the factory. Audi offers a second option with similar features to remote start, which is called the Audi Advanced Key.

While it's not a complete remote start system, this is a great alternative for drivers who need an easy way to start their car without the need to insert keys. This feature allows you to unlock the doors of your Audi A4 or start the car by pressing one button. This button is located where you normally find the ignition in a conventional vehicle.

You'll need your key fob and to be within 5 feet of the vehicle to activate this feature. Sensors in the trunk or door handles will be activated once you and your keyfob are within five feet of the car. If you receive a clear signal and the correct code, the vehicle will then allow you to lock the doors or start the engine.

You can drive your Audi A4 with the touch of a button and not have to dig around in your pockets and purse for your keys. This feature is perfect for people who park their cars often. It can also be beneficial for those who want to warm up their vehicle quickly to get on the road.

When you get inside your vehicle, the system continues to communicate with your key fob. This is done with encrypted signals to prevent hacking. It also comes with the Keyless Go card as a backup. It is credit card sized and can be used to unlock the vehicle in case the key fob gets lost or is malfunctioning.

If you have an Audi Advanced Key installed and you are experiencing difficulty starting your vehicle, it could be a problem with the key. This is something your local Audi dealer can assist with. They can carry out a procedure in the user's manual which will fix the keys and the vehicle.
