What is the Audi Advanced Key?

Audi vehicles are designed to provide comfort and convenience, which is the reason the new models in our showroom feature keyless entry and start. This technology lets you enter your car and begin driving, while keeping the key fob in your purse or pocket.

This system works through proximity sensors in the doors and trunks paired with a key radio pulse generator in the key fob. Here are some of the things you should be aware of Audi Advanced Key:

1. Proximity Detection

An Audi equipped with proximity detection enables you to open and start your car without having to pull the key out of your pocket or purse. The access and authorization system works by automating data exchange between the convenience key and your car, allowing you to unlock the trunk and doors and even start the engine with a single click on your key.

A sound-based proximity sensor, also known as a capacitive proximity sensor, employs acoustic waves in order to detect the presence of objects near. The sensors produce an electrical signal by using an oscillator. This signal is transmitted into the air by an audio microphone, which converts it to an audio file. The audio files are compared to determine the degree of similarity and how close they are. When they are close and the system sends a wake-up message to the key. It will also send an ID signal that matches the vehicle.

Proximity detection is only the first step towards a more comfortable driving experience. The Audi advanced key has remote start capabilities which gives you the ability to start your vehicle from outside the range of your key FOB. what to do if you lose your audi key can be helpful when you are loading groceries into the trunk, or securing children in their seats or packing for a family adventure.

Audi pre sense basic is a security feature that allows you to avoid accidents by taking action prior to an accident occurs. It combines the data of different systems, including the front camera and radar sensors of Audi side assist, to determine the probability of a collision and warn drivers. It also triggers the automatic braking system at speeds of up to 250 km/h (155,3) and alert the driver via the head-up or virtual cockpit display.

2. Authentication

When you press your key fob's lock button the Audi advanced key system communicates with the car's sensors. This sends a code to the car's computer which confirms that the key fob is an authorized key fob. This security measure prevents unauthorised access to the vehicle without the proper key fob.

The key fob can be used to start the car from pockets or purses. Audi's advanced key system uses proximity sensor in the trunk lid as well as the doors and key fob. The sensors unlock the doors when the key fob is in close proximity to the vehicle (about five feet). When you open the trunk, or use the door handle the car recognizes the key and starts the motor.

You can also utilize the key fob in order to activate the push-button function of your vehicle. You can start the engine by pressing the Start/Stop buttons integrated into the center console when the key fob is in your pocket or purse. The car's sensors will verify the key fob is authentic and then start the engine after they've confirmed it.

The Audi advanced key system features a keyless entry feature that allows you to open your vehicle doors by simply pressing the exterior door handle. This is extremely practical when your hands are stuffed or when you're wearing gloves, like when you're carrying your groceries or children into the vehicle. The system comes with a trunk-release button that lets you open the trunk by using an action. This is an excellent option for those who have to carry many groceries or children in the vehicle.

3. Keyless Entry

A keyless entry system can be a great convenience when you are carrying your kids, groceries or other equipment. You can open your vehicle by simply touching a button or sensor placed on the handle of the door (some models include the technology inside the lock). If you're carrying the key fob, it will also send an alert to activate the vehicle's sensors to let it know you're in the vicinity and that your finger is firmly at the button. This can prevent unauthorised use of your vehicle by ensuring that only you can unlock the doors.

A keyless entry system will often allow you to remotely start your car without the use of a physical key. This is accomplished using sensors mounted in the trunk, tailgate and sometimes even in the vehicle's doors. The sensors will start the engine of the vehicle and then unlock the doors when the fob is within a certain distance of the car, typically around 5 feet. You can then press a button to start your car. This is a great way to warm your car prior to when you leave for work or when it's cold outside.

Some of the most advanced versions of keyless entry do not require the use of a key fob. They can be locked and started by using a smartphone application. This is an excellent option for families or business owners who would like their employees to have easy access to company vehicles. Certain keyless entry systems even remember the driver's preferred seating position or cabin temperature. This could save you lots of time when you go to a parking spot.

One of the more advanced keyless entry systems includes a rear hatch feature that can be activated by a simple foot wave. It will shut and secure the cargo area in a matter of seconds. This feature is available in a variety of Audi models and could be included as an option in the standard model, or as an upgrade depending on the model. These systems are not 100% secure, and they can be tampered with by thieves with a little technical knowledge.

4. Push-Button Start

Contrary to other brands, Audi does not offer remote start on its vehicles in a factory capacity. However, the company offers a different alternative that comes with the same features to remote start, namely the Audi Advanced Key.

This feature is not an automatic remote start system, but it's an excellent option for those who want to start their vehicle without having to insert the key. This feature lets you unlock the doors of your Audi A4 or start the car by pressing a single button. The button is located exactly the same spot as the ignition on the standard car.

You'll require your key fob and to be within 5 feet of the vehicle in order to activate this feature. Sensors in the door handles or in the trunk will be activated once you and your keyfob are within five feet of the vehicle. If you receive an equivocal signal and correct code, the vehicle will then allow you to close the doors or start the engine.

With the push of an button, you are able to easily access your Audi A4 and begin driving without the need to fumble around in your pockets or purse for keys. This feature is ideal for people who park their cars a lot. It can also be beneficial for those who have to warm up their vehicle quickly for a commute.

Once you are inside your vehicle the system continues to communicate with your key fob. This is done via encrypted signals, which help to ensure that the system cannot be hacked. It also provides a Keyless Go card as a backup. It's credit card sized and can be used to unlock your vehicle in the event that your key fob is lost or malfunctioning.

If your vehicle is fitted with the Audi Advanced Key and you are having trouble getting it to start, there could be an issue with the key or vehicle. This is something that your local Audi dealer can assist with. The user manual contains an instruction that can be used to re-pair your keys and vehicle.
