Best Value Bean to Cup Coffee Machines

This is the machine for those who desire a completely customizable single-press, hands-free latte. Read our Beem Espresso Grind Profession review to learn more about the machine.

Its swappable bean hoppers let you try different blends on the fly and its different profiles mean you can continue where you left beginning. It's also cheaper than capsule machines, and uses real beans instead of pre-ground beans.

1. Smeg BCC02

Designed by Milan-based firm Deep Design, this sleek, compact and striking machine combines the brand's inimitable retro style with cutting-edge technology. It takes care of every step of the coffee-making process, from grinding beans and tamping them into a puck to mixing milk and dispense the correct volume - so you can make barista-quality hot beverages at the touch of a button.

The machine also has a stylish brushed aluminium front and is available in a variety of red, black or taupe, meaning it's a great fit for the majority of kitchen designs. It's not without flaws however. The majority of reviewers thought it was a bit expensive for a cup-to- bean maker (and does not come with the milk pitcher).

However, there were numerous positive reviews about the quality of the coffee and the ease of use of this machine. The intuitive digital display provides an easy-to-follow guideline and feedback throughout the coffee making process, helping you make your drink perfect each time. The machine even allows you to alter the size of the grind, should you decide that's not what would like to do. It's like having a personal home barista (minus Harry Potter's invisibility cloak and Elon Musk's rocket-building abilities).

This model is ideal for those who prefer milky drinks. The steam wand can be adjusted up and down to fit most drinking vessels, except Viking drinking horns. We were also amazed by the speed and efficiency in the way that the frothing was performed. It creates an amazing, full-flavoured espresso with a great crema.

The BCC02 is a great all-rounder, quiet and efficient and provides excellent value for money at its current price of PS499. The only issue is that it doesn't offer the same level of customisation like some of the other bean-to-cups we've tried. It's got a 15-bar pump rather than the more typical 19 bars which isn't as effective for making high-quality espressos. This is a great machine for those who like their coffee dark and strong. There are plenty of options to alter the intensity of your drinks and also different sizes of cups, and whether or not to add milk. The machine comes with two airtight containers of beans that are automatically selected to accommodate different tastes. The machine defaults to using standard espresso beans and cafe creme, a German variant of long black or flat white. However, you are able to select any beans you want. There's also a convenient chute for pre-ground coffee if you want to make your own (for example in the event that your dinner guest brings their own).

Users have also said they are impressed by the speed of the machine. It is faster than any other machine they have used. Another advantage is that it will notify you when one of its hoppers is almost empty, so you don't get caught out by running out of your favorite beverage.

The price may be a concern for certain. coffee machines from bean to cup 's not cheap, costing nearly PS999. However, it's cheaper than similar Jura machines with the same features.

Barista TS smart is backed by a two-year guarantee. This is more than the average one year warranty, which is a good assurance from the manufacturer. The machine comes with a cleaning tablet and descaler. This makes it easy to maintain the machine. This is a fantastic machine for those looking to buy a high-quality, versatile bean-to-cup machine at an affordable price.

To make a cup of coffee, simply insert capsules into the machine and press one of the two buttons to begin the coffee brewing process. The Espresso button will deliver an espresso shot while the Lungo button will run a greater amount of water for a lungo-style coffee. You can stop or pause the brewing process at any time, and if you need more or less water you can adjust the amount of water you use by using the control panel.
