The cot's sliding side panel lifts and lowers with the push of an button, making it easy to reach inside and soothe a crying infant at night. It also has 11 height adjustments that let it fit on the mattress of almost every size bed. Additionally, it comes with adjustable feet that fold down to ensure it's placed at just the right height.

In terms of safety the cot is cushioned and fitted with mesh sides for increased ventilation, and its mattress is made of high-density foam for additional protection. It's also washable, so you can keep the cot clean. It is fitted with a bed sheet that is suitable for the crib.

you could try these out , unlike some other cribs for bed, is compatible with most beds including divans. This is because of the clips and straps which connect to it. It can also be used as a stand-alone crib when it's not connected to the bed. It's full of amazing features that were designed with parent-baby bonding in mind.

It is essential to keep in mind that this crib won't last as long after your baby turns six months. You'll need to purchase a larger crib. However, overall Roanna found that the Joie Roomie Glide was a very good purchase and she particularly liked its sleek design.

The Roomie Glide is available to purchase from John Lewis for PS160, which Roanna felt was an affordable price for a cot featuring the most advanced features. She also liked the way it was positioned in the bedroom, and believed that its grey colour is a good fit for modern homes. However, she did point that it's not an ideal idea to rock a young baby because it can set a bad habit for later sleep patterns.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning crib for bed designed with a secure night's rest in mind. It has a drop-side rail which can be easily removed for feedings at night without having to wake your child or get them out of bed it's ideal for mothers who are breastfeeding! It's also lightweight, which makes it easy to move around the house during naps and for travelling.

It's made from soft materials and has breathable mesh sides to promote airflow. It's available in charcoal and oak, with a range of melange fabric options that are compatible with all decor styles. Anna found it to be solid and secure when it was attached to her bed, with the legs securely clicking into the bed and the zips secured to ensure baby safety. It took Anna around 10 minutes to put together and didn't require any tools. There are clear instructions, a video and a customer support number in case you encounter any issues.

The CoZee crib comes with all the features you would think of in a crib for your bedside, including the ability to connect it to your existing bed using a stay-in-place connection system. It also has six height settings. In addition there is an inclined feature that can be used to help infants suffering from reflux or congestion. It is also machine-washable essential for all the spills, vomit, and snot that accompany a new baby!

If you want to keep your baby close during the first six months when they're able to go to sleep on their own, the CoZee is a great choice as it can also be used as a separate cot, changing table or toddler bed. It can be turned into a sofa bed by the addition of an extension pack. Although it can't magically put your baby to sleep or feed them, it will rock them and send them off.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of the more expensive alternatives. However, bedside co sleeper cot comes with many excellent features. It's designed to be used as an individual side sleeper or standalone crib, and is suitable from birth to six months. It features a brand new mechanism for opening and closing the side panel and is easy to operate, even for one-handed operation. It's also more adjustable than the previous model, with 11 different height settings as well as legs that retract to place under any bed.

Our testers were impressed by the ease of access offered by the side panel which can be moved upwards and downwards with just one push of a switch. This was an enormous help during feeding times at night, as it meant they could easily reach inside and pick up their baby without waking them up.

The side panel can be lowered on its own, but it's not recommended as this increases the risk of your child falling out of the cot. However, the patented safety locking mechanism guarantees that it will only remain in place if it is connected to the bed of the parent correctly. This is a great feature to have for peace mind, particularly in the case of breastfeeding and frequent nighttime feedings.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to work with any bed that is divan-based as well as beds with drawers due to the legs that can be telescopic. It features a tilting feature to help reflux babies, and a rocking function to help ease them into sleep after a feeding. It's also very large and has great ventilation due to its mesh sides.

Our test participants found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, however it does have quite a long instruction manual. It's heavier than other side-sleepers, however it's fairly portable and can be moved from room to room with ease. It's also small enough to fit into its travel bag when not in use which is a plus if you need to transport it. The only issue our testers have found is that the side panel didn't stretch as much as other models. This made it a bit harder to see the baby from your bed.

The Shnuggle Air

The Shnuggle Air bedside crib is a great option if you want an infant crib that will grow with your child. It's a co-sleeping crib that attaches securely to your bed and can be turned into a chic cot when your baby is old enough. Ideal for feeding at night and strengthening your bond with your newborn.

The Shnuggle Air crib is designed to breathe, which is different from other cribs. Its dual-view mesh sides as well as airflow mattress that is breathable and hypoallergenic maximize airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. The gentle incline helps alleviate colic and reflux. The zip-down side lets you to feed your baby or soothe them during the night.

The cot conversion kit (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear directions and everything you require to start. It took us around an hour to put together and was relatively simple. The only downside to the instructions was that a few images did not have captions. This made it difficult for us to follow the instructions. Overall, the process was simple and the materials used were of high quality.

In the co-sleeping position, we discovered the Shnuggle Air to be an excellent choice for breastfeeding mums and women who have had a C-section because it lets them easily reach out to their newborn for feeding and comfort without having to leave their bed. It's great for parents who don't want to deal with the stress of putting their child in a traditional cot, or getting them out of it.

During our testing we noticed the smooth motion of this next to me crib to be especially helpful when it comes to lulling babies back to sleep after feedings at midday and in the evening. The drop-down side can be easily accessible to feed or soothe babies during the middle of the night, which was a real benefit for our exhausted test mums. The Joie Roomie Glide is a sleek and functional crib that doesn't rock, nor has extra features like an audio system.
