Best 3 Wheel Stroller

Whether you're a runner looking for a stroller, or parents who are running errands, 3-wheel strollers offer a lot of flexibility. Many have the same convenient features as 4-wheel strollers, such as storage, a child tray, and a parent console.

Guide writers put these strollers to the test on pavement and off, assessing how smooth they ride. They also analyzed comfort and convenience features like a seat that reclines fully.

The Chariot Cross

Thule created the Chariot Cross for families who do not want to be to the indoors, and they designed it with a solid construction that lets them explore the outdoors without worrying about their kids safety or their comfort. The adjustable suspension of the Chariot lets you customize the ride to your child's comfort and willingness to embark on new adventures.

The Chariot Cross is a favorite among joggers because of its smooth ride and outstanding agility on all terrains. It has plenty of storage, including a large cargo basket that can be compressed to lessen the impact on your stride. It's an excellent option for families that like to mix outdoor sports because it can be combined alongside strolling, cycling and ski kits.

The Chariot is distinct from other strollers with 3 wheels because of its outstanding passenger comfort. 3 wheel buggy are cushioned on the shoulders and sides and the users can adjust their reclining seat to find the ideal position for napping or enjoying the view. The mesh ventilation on the Chariot lets passengers enjoy a cool breeze which makes it an ideal option for hot temperatures.

3 wheeler pushchair has the added benefit of allowing the front and rear of the seat to recline independently. This is great for older children who wish to stretch or read during long trips. Unlike the D'Lite, which only has a solid top panel and a solid top panel, the Chariot Cross offers a viewing window and a huge rear canopy to improve visibility.

As with other Thule products The Chariot Cross is easy to put together. The instructions are easy to follow and the process can take 30-45 minutes. It's even small enough to gate check if you're traveling by plane, and it folds up compactly for simple transportation to the back of your car.

The only drawback to the Chariot is that it isn't compatible with infant car seats. This could restrict its appeal to certain parents. However, if you're looking for a double stroller that can be used with car seat carriers, check out the Joovy Twin Roo+. It's a similar model that also accepts a wide range of infant car seat brands, but it's slightly more expensive and doesn't offer the same smooth riding experience like the Chariot.

The Evenflo Pivot Explorer

From fun at the playground to weekend getaways, the Pivot Xplore All-Terrain Modular Double Stroller Wagon from Evenflo makes it easy and fun to tote around your child in comfort. This wagon can be transformed into a stroller by simply flipping the handle. It can also be used as a wagon for two children as young as five in the front of the car, or by using the car seat adapter. All-terrain wheels can go wherever you go, making it easy to navigate through gravel paths and other rough terrains.

The Xplore features a large storage bin as well as a dual-sided snack tray, meaning you can store toys, snacks and other items close to hand. It's also easier to fold and unfold than other models, although we found it still took longer than the standard wagon. A visual color indicator will let you know when it's folded completely and locked to ensure safety.

For parents who are looking for a stroller that can handle naptime, this one might be worth the investment. A bassinet is available for babies 6 months or less and the UPF 50+ canopy can be enlarged from two panels to three using the quick unzip. This will provide greater protection from sun's harmful ultraviolet rays. The footwell is also upgraded with more space for energetic toddlers.

If you don't need a child seat that reclines you can substitute it with a bench-style backrest. This will allow your child to sit higher and better see the landscape. The Xplore can be used with most infant car seats. This provides convenience and safety to all members of the family.

Katrina Cossey, a commerce writer who has spent years in broadcast journalism and is an enthusiastic shopper, loves to write about the best products available for families and babies. She's looked up thousands of baby items, toys and gifts and has personally tried many including strollers to diapers. Her work is featured in a variety of online publications, and she lives in Oklahoma with her husband and their 3-year-old son. She's grateful to work in a field she loves and to be part of an organization that believes in real-time safety for children in our lives.

The 3D Lite

This stroller is an excellent choice for parents who are seeking an ultra-compact, lightweight and affordable travel stroller. Summer Infant's 3D Lite is their lightest stroller for convenience, weighing just 14 pounds. The model comes with plenty of features for the young user, including a multi-position recline and a 5-point safety harness. The 3D Lite offers plenty of storage options and useful features for parents. This includes the child's cup holder, which includes a snack tray and a cup holder for the parent, a zippered pocket and cushioned handles.

The Lite's light-weight design makes it easy to move and push. It rated highly in our Strollers Test Program, earning Very Good marks in Ease of Utilization and Maneuverability. It also scored highly in the Stroller Safety Category, which includes features to ensure that your child is safe and secure like locking brakes, adjusting the safety harness as well as folding and unfolding as well as the ability to attach and remove the car seat that is compatible with it.

It is important to note that folding the Lite requires a bit of balance. To fold it, you need to lift the lever in the middle of the stroller, then step onto a second lever using your foot, and then press down on the handle with the other hand. This process takes about 4 seconds, and is a bit slower than other lightweight strollers we've tried.

The Lite is an excellent stroller for travel, has a small footprint and a handy carrying strap. However it doesn't fold as compactly as other strollers we have examined. The Bugaboo Ant, Babyzen YOYO+, and Zoe Traveler all fold smaller which makes them more suitable to be used in overhead bins on airplanes.

The Lite isn't able to convert into a double stroller and does not come with a ride along board for older children. If you're searching for a double stroller or one that can accommodate two children, we recommend our Top Picks or a Guide to the Best Double Strollers. The Lite stroller is a great choice for parents who are seeking a product for travel with a lot of features and a price less than $150.
