Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet messes (spills, staining) in one time without the need to change devices. best cheap robot vacuum can save space when compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will have impressive navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that have docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's among the easiest robots to install that we've tested. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start manual will have you up and running in no time with the complete dust bag, water tank, and a hard floor.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops spin at fast speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of dirt, pet hair, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a variety of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you pick the kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.

For instance, you can choose to have the robot clean up the kitchen and living rooms but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models cannot. Its only drawback is that it can hit objects and walls at a high speed, but an instant glance at the history of cleaning in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing, where it's going, and which obstacles it's run into or avoided.

The docking station comes with an LCD display that indicates when maintenance is needed like emptying the debris and rinsing the dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent into the tank automatically with a 600ml of eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time as well, with the mop being capable of operating for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode, and the vacuum capable of running for 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. You can view the complete cleaning details within the app, which is well laid out and easily understood however we would have liked to be able distinguish between a mop only vacuum and a vacuum/mop clean when looking at a cleaned area in the cleaning history.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's flagship robot mop and vacuum. The model of this year features a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This enhances the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction capacity which allows it to remove smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners could miss.

As with the other two Roborock models I've tested it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which can help to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes dual cameras that can detect objects, determining if they're walls or other surfaces. It will then automatically alter its path and clean the objects without a pause.

It's the most expensive model I've tried and it comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is eye-catching and it has only three physical buttons which include the power button which can also restart cleaning; a mop-only button that doubles as a child lock and a home button to bring the robot back to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin fills up automatically.

The only drawback I could find to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth if required, but it's a challenge to remove the mount for washing manually. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mounts, which could cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of intelligent features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can configure and manage these using the Roborock app, which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, track the life of batteries and maintenance on components. However, you'll have to go through a few hurdles to allow voice control with this model which is a pity considering the performance of this model.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with its innovative features, top suction power, and advanced mowing abilities. Its clever design permits personalized and efficient cleaning, while reducing time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful options available. This powerful vacuum can clean up pet hair, crumbs and other dry mess. It has a mop of top quality that cleans hard floors without the use of a pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet when in operation with only occasional bursts during modes changes or self-maintenance.

The X40 also has an additional side brush that can be extended and lifted. This allows it to reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean curved furniture such as table and chair legs. It also lets the robot to reach under furniture with a low profile which makes it a great option for smaller apartments and condominiums with small spaces. The side brush tilts automatically down when it spots wet spots. This is a nice feature that allows the X40 to prevent damage to floors from excessive back-and forth movements.

Unlike some other robots that solely focus on one task, the X40 is capable of performing mopping and vacuuming at the same time or in a series. It can also be programmed to skip areas that have carpet and only mop hard floors, or vice versa. It can be controlled using the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is easy to use and intuitive The X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, view floor plans and maps, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also track its progress and notify you when it is finished.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous convenient features, making it a perfect option for busy families. The docking station can automatically empty the dustbin, and clean the mop pads and refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It can also tell when the mop pad is filled and alert you before it overflows, reducing the need for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available. It has a number of features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, a new feature on its mop heads, makes use of two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, small dirt particles and pick up spills and dirt-stained spots.

The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station each time they are used. This feature is great because it stops mould and unpleasant odours from building up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. It's a system that we've yet to see on other robot vacuums and mop models and could be a great way of keeping your home clean for longer.

There are a lot of choices, including the possibility to schedule cleanings and adjust preferences. The app allows you to set these preferences or you can use the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and provides a number of options for customising your cleaning routine. It also comes with many features that aren't offered on other robots, like the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects any dust particles.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen on the market, with metallic and white colors that is elegant and stylish. It's heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots in this list - at around 4kg but it's not too heavy, and it feels robust and well built. Mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors and in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them reach up to 2mm below baseboards.
