World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade

The upgrade feature for items allows players to increase the item level for weapons that can be equipped or armor. This increases the stats of that equipment, in addition to sometimes adding buffs or rerolling an affix.

It is important to remember that upgrading your magic and common gear isn't always worth the cost. Rare and unique gear will quickly outclass upgraded magic and common gear.

Cost

item upgrading has to spend gold to upgrade an item. The cost to upgrade an item varies based on the current level of the item and the type of upgrade. For instance upgrading a weapon will generally be less expensive than upgrading armor, as weapons require lower levels of skill. The amount of Gold required to upgrade an item increases as the item is upgraded to the next level.

The upgraded items will also have upgraded stats that will improve its performance in different ways. This could mean increasing its attack power and critical strike chance or damage per second. The upgraded item can also give additional bonuses to the weapon it is equipped with. These upgrades can be used to increase the overall power of a group or unit, and may be a major influence on the gameplay.

Items can be upgraded at any NPC who is an upgrader in the game. Generally NPCs can be found in capital cities or major questing areas. You can also find upgraders of items by visiting dungeons that have high-level bosses, and speaking to NPCs in the garrisons of your faction.

The item upgrade system in World of Warcraft provides players with the possibility of upgrading the level of armor, weapons and trinkets. This process is very similar to the process used for gear reforging in Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor, but instead of using the currency that is appropriate, players must visit an item upgrader NPC to complete the process.

Item upgrades can be costly, especially when it is related to armor and weapons. Depending on the upgrade track, each step up in the level of an item can cost many Valorstones and crests. The total costs can be prohibitive for players who don't have the funds or aren't willing to grind them.

Fortunately the game allows players to roll an upgraded item using a special tool in the items menu. This option will replace the upgraded item with a level 1 version that has different bonus effects. This can be useful to get better scores on items that are already upgraded, but could be a waste of resources.

Requirements

The process of upgrading equipmentable items such as weapons, armor and trinkets is to increase the item level. This boosts their stats and can make them more effective in battle. Players can upgrade gear by spending appropriate currencies at an NPC that sells upgraders for items. However, players must be aware that some upgrades require special requirements.

The initial upgrades only boost the stats of the item's base by one level, however later upgrades provide more significant enhancements. Upgrades from levels 3 to 6 will increase the weapon's damage plus two levels. A bonus stat will be added to the upgraded item based on the level. This bonus is a mix of a guaranteed substat as well as random generated stats that can vary from upgrade to upgrade.

Reroll Tokens can be used to reroll an item which has been upgraded. The new item will come with an additional set of bonuses as well as an lower base level. The rerolled item will also have different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to keep in mind that the rerolled item does not retain its original level or even a fraction of its resource.

Rerolling upgraded items is only possible if the item was upgraded was Epic Rare, Rare or Unique. Some exceptional items can also be eligible for rerolling, but their original stats will be replaced by an uninvolved bonus. Rerolling a Rare item will result in a normal version of the same type, whereas rolling an Epic item will result in an Elite version of the same type.

Upgraded items could have additional adjustments that can boost their performance and increase their stats. These additional modifiers don't come with the upgrade cost. They can be obtained through doing quests, purchasing them at the Trading Post or from other players. Alternatively, they can be earned by completing specific missions in the game.

To upgrade an item of equipment, visit the NPC [Armoror Boboko located in Central Flarine. You will require Power Dices depending on the item. (Dice 6 is dropped by monsters 21+, Giants and Bosses; Dice 12 from Bosses). Additionally, you will require different amounts of Minerals and Erons.

Time is a factor.

Upgrades to items can be used to boost the stats of your gear and ship without having to level them. They're not cheap, but they are a good way to increase your stats and not have to spend as much time fighting. It's important to know the costs and benefits before investing your time or money.

Each upgrade increases the stats of the item by in a specific amount, and offers the chance of obtaining an additional substat. The extra substat is random and could range from a small increase in one stat to a much greater boost in another. It is best to concentrate on the most effective items in the slot first, as they will give you a bigger return on your investment.

You can view the time it takes to complete an upgrade by opening your inventory and selecting an item such as a ship, weapon, or accessory. The upgrade window will show the expected completion time and progress. In some cases you may be able to speed up the upgrade process by using a Glyph.

Black Lion Salvage or Ascended Salvage offer a salvage kit that permits you to retrieve all or a portion of upgrade components. This is not applicable to legendary equipment or upgrades that can be recovered with an Upgrade extractor or by making a claim with the appropriate Karma retailer.

Enjoy the Benefits

The upgrading of items provides players with money and a variety of items. Each upgrade also has a chance of granting an random stat bonus. The value of the bonus will vary for each upgrade, and is typically higher for rarer items. The Great Vault can be searched by players to determine whether an item can be upgraded. The search will help determine whether the item is in a certain level and if the player could benefit from upgrading to a specific upgrade.

During the upgrade process, an item will slowly grow closer to the next level but not always reach its fully upgraded bar. This process makes use of Growthstones and Sollant but there's a 10% chance of achieving a fully upgraded item after just one cycle. The higher the level an item is upgraded to, the higher its stat boost and the more items it can upgrade to.

Upgrade components can be slotted into armor, weapons and trinkets to give an attribute bonus or additional effect while the equipment is equipped. Some upgrade components also come with cosmetic effects. Players can acquire upgrade components through crafting, purchasing from vendors, or at the Trading Post, looting, or obtaining rewards. In addition, players can recover upgraded items using an Upgrade Extractor, or salvaging them with a high-tier salvage kit. Glyphs that are positioned on tools for gathering are able to be swapped.

By selecting the item and pressing the green button, which has an arrow for rerolling the player can reroll it to create an upgradeable item. This will change the layout of the game and allow players to choose up to six items to be used for "recycling". The item that is recycled can be exchanged for a level 1 item of the same type. Rerolled items won't retain their current level or amount of resources used to upgrade them.

The maximum level of upgrade for an item is determined by the item's tier as well as its quality. Rare and Epic items are able to be upgraded to levels up to nine, while common items are only upgraded up to level six. The upgrades to an item are added to the base statistics of the item, meaning that they will no longer increase after a certain point.
