Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of removing dry debris (dust dirt) and wet mess (spills and stains) in one time without having to swap out devices. They can also reduce space in comparison to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Look for models that have docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It has plenty to offer at a modest price, and it's one of the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking is easy, and the quick-start guide gets you running in no time. It comes with a full dust bag, water tank, and a hard floor solution.

The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can mops up a storm and also vacuums well. The mops spin at fast speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of dirt, pet hair, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a range of attachments and brushes, and an intuitive app that lets you select the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.

For example, you can decide to let the robot clean up the kitchen and living rooms but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. robot vacuum cleaner amazon is able to recognize small obstacles that other models can't. Its only drawback is that it can smash into walls and other objects at a high speed, but a quick glance at the cleaning history within the app will show you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and the obstacles it's avoided.

A convenient LCD screen on the docking station tells the maintenance tasks that must be completed, such as emptying the debris tray and washing the water tank that is dirty. It also mixes detergent into the water tank automatically, using a 600ml eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time and the mop is able to operate for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode and the vacuum capable of running for 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or return to the base to refill. And you can see the entire cleaning information in the app, which is clearly laid out and easily understood, though we would like to be able distinguish between a vacuum only or mop and vacuum clean when examining a cleaned area in the cleaning history.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's most popular robot vacuum and mop. In contrast to the model of last year it comes with a double agitator in its mopping pad, which greatly improves carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to remove fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners could overlook.

Like the other two Roborock models I've tested the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to help it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by having a dual camera that can recognize objects and determine whether they are an object that is a wall or a different surface. It can then change its course in a way that is automatic and clean around the objects without stumbling.

It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested and it comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is eye catching and comes with three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which restarts the cleaning mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles as a child-lock and a home button to take the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank will empty itself and the bin auto-refilling.

The only negative I discovered with this model was that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth when required, but it's a challenge to take the mount off to wash it manually. I've observed that any soft carpet the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and could cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of smart features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app lets you manage and set up these smart features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, track the life of batteries and maintenance on components. You'll need to jump through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. This is a shame considering the performance otherwise.

This is a great feature since it prevents the build-up of odours and mould in storage, and it also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a system we haven't yet seen on other robot vacuum and mop models, and it could be a great way of keeping your home cleaner for longer.

There are plenty of options, including the option to schedule cleanings and adjust preferences. The app allows you to define these preferences, or you can utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and offers a variety of options to customize your cleaning routine. It also offers a number of functions that are not available on other robots, such as the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction whenever it detects dust particles.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most elegant robots we've seen on market, with a white and metallic design that is elegant and stylish. It's a little heavier than the other two-in-one robots in this list - at 4kg however it's not overly heavy, and it feels robust and well built. The mopping system is also well designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them reach even 2mm below the baseboards.
