World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses like crit chance and PvE damage. If the template for upgrading a weapon ends in %, it will increase an additional 3% of the previous damage for each time it is upgraded. The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost rises with item's level. Components Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armor and trinkets in order to provide them with a boost in stats or an extra effect. They can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects. Upgrade components can only be applied to devices that have slots. look at here must be at least upgraded to blue level before a component can be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component that is used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the back items that are not ascending. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear from the ascended, or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns. An upgrade can include a suffix or prefix, modifying the name of the equipment to the upgrade (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, which lets players to create stronger versions using the smallest amount of upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level using normal methods. A 'boost upgrade' can alter the defense or attack characteristics of a weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear, or by buying them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals each. The player can get the maximum of five boost upgrades at one time. Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-level version of the item will be available in the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue improving their equipment even if they're not sure of how much they'll improve following a subsequent reset. The process of upgrading an item can be expensive, and it is possible that the item will eventually become obsolete or even break if the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the risk of failure. Certain upgrades also provide a bonus if they are reinserted. Glyphs Glyphs are upgrade elements that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs increase the power of all nodes in their radius as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in various ways, and we suggest getting them to level 15 as soon as you can. You will often find in the endgame that putting Glyphs is a great way to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and offer a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes faster. The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without any restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install. Each Glyph has a specific range of values it can improve a statistic by. The value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph. You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts. Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you will require them to be put on your equipment. look at here unlocks a special bonus that will boost the stats of a particular set of nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. Based on the Glyph, this will either be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats. The use of a Glyph will boost all the nodes that are linked to it, and it is recommended to position your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. Druids, for instance, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also want to consider placing them near their critical damage nodes. Leveling The item upgrade system allows players to boost the power of certain items by introducing upgraded components. This is referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item has an amount that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items are able to be leveled up to a maximum of 385 ilvl. Each item level requires a different number of components to be reached and the costs for upgrading increase as the item is leveled up. Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or obtained from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields some Technology Points. These points can be used to leveling up an item. Once enough points are earned you will be eligible to claim the upgrade and get its extra bonuses. When a player upgrade a piece of equipment, the base item is replaced by a new item. This means that the same armor piece will get the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item will also have a unique bonus. This could be a drawback in that the item could be more expensive even if you don't need it. Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, provided that the player has enough reroll tokens to do this. This will cause the item to be traded for a new one, which will have the level 1 base, and a totally different set of extra bonuses. This can be beneficial however it shouldn't be done often as it can be a waste of resources. Certain upgrades can be rerolled multiple times, increasing their value and allowing the player to customize their equipment. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or is able to swim like a dolphin). The item can be upgraded several times and increases the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item is very useful in PvP. A perfectly rolled version could be worth 50 times the value of the non-upgraded counterpart. Requirements The upgrader for items allows players to increase the level of their equippable equipment (armor weapons, armor trinkets, and weapons) above ilvl385 by presenting the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase the defense base of that piece, while upgrading weapon items will increase the base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements. All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear, which can have eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade an object it has a chance of failing. The rate of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to return to its initial state, which requires the player to purchase more resources than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number. If an item isn't upgraded, the experience bar in its growth bar will be reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it has gained, such as crit chance damage to attack, additional effects (such as a higher healing rate over time or the speed of reloading). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor after the failure. When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from lowest to highest. This means that should a weapon gain an increase in its crit chance the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. A new attribute called Slots has been added to the item's definition and the value is calculated each time an upgrade is applied. The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For example, a common equipment item could have five upgrades, each costing 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero grade items have a lower cost per upgrade. Premium items could require different upgrades than regular gear. For instance, they may need less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. The player will still need to carry every piece of gear they wish to upgrade to NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each equipment upgrade requires a different amount of the upgrade ingredients.
