Path of Exile Item Upgrades

The performance of many Path of Exile items can be enhanced by upgrading them. They can be a good source of additional damage and more AD or even more attachments.

In most cases, however upgraded Common and Magic gear is outclassed by Rare-grade gear because of their higher requirements.

Armor

Armor upgrades can be applied to both armor and weapon items. They boost the performance of the item that they are connected to. Armor upgrades can be found in the world of games and are available from Blacksmiths on bonfires. They can also be salvaged using a professional or higher salvage kit to retrieve upgrade components from other items.

The level of an armor's or weapon's upgrade determines the amount of damage it is able to take on. The absorption of damage by a piece armor will increase as it is upgraded to its maximum upgrade level. But, it's important to note that this will also increase its weight, which will cause it to weigh more than it was before.

There are a few different kinds of armor upgrades that are available in the game and they all have different effects. Certain upgrades grant armor an extra amount of health points while others make it more powerful and lighter. The type of armor upgrade that an item will receive will be indicated by the name of the upgrade, as indicated in the table below.

Some of the upgrades also require magic or a hybrid technology and magic, as indicated by the "Magic" and "Hybrids" entries in the table below. Additionally, some upgrades require charges to use, and are indicated by the "Charges" entry in the table below. The charges associated with these upgrades refresh daily or never expire according to the upgrade.

The cheapest method of upgrading armor is with Iron Ore, which can be obtained by exploring the area and looting minor loot chests. Titanium is more expensive but can be found at the smelters of Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Some upgrades, such as the Reforge and the Hot Potato Books, can only be applied to high level armor pieces. These upgrades can give significant boost to stats and are a worthwhile investment, particularly for one-handed weapons.

The process of upgrading an armor piece to the highest upgrade level will significantly boost its defense, but the player should be aware that putting more weight on it can drastically decrease its agility and speed. It is not recommended to upgrade armor past +9. The added defense usually isn't worth the weight and power expenses of the upgrades.

Weapons

Weapon upgrades allow players to improve the effectiveness of specific aspects of a weapon. For example an upgrade could improve the damage that is caused by a shotgun's shells or the accuracy of a sniper rifle. Certain firearms have upgrades to improve their inherent qualities. They include Frictionless Materials (improves stability and decreases the chance of overheating of the weapon) and Kinetic Coils (increases the speed of projectiles to cause more damage).

The majority of weapon upgrades require the use of a whetblade, or one of the three Power Dices and a different amount Minerals and Erons. These can be obtained by completing Side Quests or by killing a certain amount of monsters and bosses.

Upgrading a Weapon, Equipment Set piece or Whetblade requires visiting the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine and paying her an upgrade fee of a certain number of Bars. The more bars required to complete an upgrade the higher the level. If you have multiple upgrade materials, the cost of upgrading will be less.

In Chapter 2: Season 5, the method of upgrading your weapon and equipment sets has changed a bit. Prior to Chapter 2 Season 5, you could upgrade your weapon and equipment by paying a certain amount of Bars. You could do this until your weapon or equipment reached its maximum upgrade level and at that point, the upgrades would be reset.

It's possible, but it is dependent heavily on RNG. You should consider buying equipment that has minimal upgrade levels, but high base scores and stat distributions. These items will have a greater likelihood of granting you highest tier advantages and benefits.

Most players will want to prioritize weapon upgrades for the weapons they most often use to help them level up quicker. In addition players, they should also consider upgrading the weapons favored by their teammates to increase their power and effective. For instance, Shepard should consider upgrading the M92F to unlock the Beretta M93R, which will increase its utility when accompanied by biotech specialists such as Grunt and Tali.

Jewels

Jewels are utilized in the sockets of armor and weapons, enhancing the power of a character and bringing about secondary effects. Jewelry crafting is a method of creating them. You combine the gemstone with specific reagents on a jewelry table. The higher the level of the gemstone is, the greater its secondary effect. These reagents can be obtained from Treasure Goblins and World Bosses around the world, or by collecting Legendary Gear. You can also purchase them from The Jeweler in exchange for gold and Scattered Prisms.

The Jeweler can enhance the quality of the gem in stages that range from Crude up to Royal. Based on the tier of the gem, it will provide a different stat boost when slotted into weapons, gear and jewelry.

All levels of jewels can be crafted at the Jeweler however, there are some exceptions to this, such as the rare and legendary jewels that require you to be at a certain level to qualify for the privilege of having them. Unlike other upgrade components, jewels can be swapped out with a jewel of the same kind without destroying it. However, you can only replace the jewels in an equipment piece only once.

It is typical to use more jewelry to enhance the appearance of. Apart from improving performance, the jewels create a surface that is harder than metal, so repeated friction from pivots doesn't cause harm as easily.

In addition to the above-mentioned upgrades, the player can also acquire glyphs for their shields and weapons from a Glyphmaster. These glyphs give a slight boost and can be freely exchanged, however they are not guaranteed to show up as loot. Glyphs, just like jewelry, can be upgraded at the Jeweler in exchange for gold and Scattered Crystals. Glyphs can also be taken out and returned to the inventory. Other upgrade components, such as aegis or traits cannot be exchanged and can only be recovered through an upgrade extractor or salvaging with a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage.

Trinkets

Trinkets are a great way to give your character various small, but valuable, benefits. They are available in the starting area as rewards for personal stories or loot. They can also be obtained from vendors as well as through doing road interaction. They can also be found on the Trading Post, or crafted by jewelers.

The first trinkets that a player can unlock is the cloak, which gives an unimportant but beneficial boost in speed of movement and the ability to escape. The player can then collect necklaces, rings, and amulets in a similar manner to how they acquired weapons and armor. Each piece of equipment has one upgrade slot that can accept either a universal upgrade or a jewel upgrade. Universal upgrades offer fewer benefits and can be used in any type of equipment while jewelry cannot be changed or upgraded and is only compatible with certain types of trinkets.

These trinkets grant additional buffs and abilities that are active even when the hero isn't in combat. This lets the hero be more effective when not active, and can also help make up for a lack of a solid team or any talent tree slots that normally are filled with the hero's best statistics.

In general, trinket upgrades should prioritize BiS (Best in Slot) items you won't replace anytime soon. Next, any items with desirable statistics that aren't as significant as the iLevel for the item to be upgraded. Recommended Web site is especially true when an item has multiple stats you wish to upgrade, since it's generally better to upgrade just one important stat rather than two sub-optimal ones.

Jungle players usually upgrade their yellow trinket to a red one prior to the start of the game. Mid and top players however, will choose a green or a pink ward, based on the matchup. These choices will have a major impact on the hero's abilities to control maps.

Apart from the items mentioned above, players can discover a variety of other trinkets in the game in the form of trophies and awards. They can be obtained by completing certain milestones in the story. For instance, completing the main quest of a chapter or beating a boss. You can see them by selecting the achievement in the reward section of the hero's menu.
