The Exam Schedule lists locations where DEP conducts operator certification exams. Exam pages for each exam are available for additional guidelines, conditions and guidelines and exam information. Students who successfully pass the test receive a Goethe-Zertifikat. The certificate confirms that the student has attained the level of language A1. This level is the first level of the six-level scale of competency that is outlined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages. The test is free of charge. Students should bring a valid government-issued ID to the test. Anyone who does not have an acceptable photo ID will be disqualified from the examination.

Fees

You'll need to pay an exam fee in order to obtain the Goethe-Zertifikat (start German 1) after you have completed your Elan Academy studies. This is in addition to the course fees.

Practice assessments give you an overview of the format of the questions, their wording and the difficulty of questions on the test. They can help you evaluate your understanding, find gaps and improve your chances of acing the exam.

Please be aware that the exam fee is non-refundable. Exam results can only be emailed and not via telephone.
