What Is Green Power?

Green power is electricity that comes from renewable sources like geothermal, solar and wind energy, biomass and hydroelectricity that has a minimal impact. Customers who are in markets that are not regulated are able to add a small fee to utility bills to support green energy sources.

Renewable energy sources are generally less damaging to the environment than drilling for coal or oil. They also help reduce our greenhouse gas emission.

Solar Energy

Geothermal power stations that produce steam can be utilized as a source of electricity by using steam turbine generators or in conjunction with gas-fired turbines to boost efficiency. The resulting mixture can then be converted into natural gas, which can be burned in a conventional boiler to generate electricity.
