Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop

Robotic vacuum cleaners and mops are the most efficient way to quickly clean up mess. The best robot vacs and mops that I have tested have top-notch mapping and navigation, picking up Cheerios wires, tangled wires and fake dog turds, without leaving them behind.

You can also schedule cleaning tasks with an app and monitor their progress.

1. Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra

If you're looking for the top robot vacuum and mop combination with cutting-edge features you should take a look at the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. This top-of-the-line vacuum is fast and agile and was able to pick up human hair and pet hair nearly flawlessly in our Debris Pickup Test. It also comes with a stylish app interface with a mini map of your house and a few on-screen buttons to allow manual control.

Another standout feature of the S8 is its ability to adjust its cleaning mode based on dirt levels thanks to its Dirt Detection Technology. It will pause and clean its mopping pad more frequently when it encounters dust while prioritizing carpeted areas to be mopped with a damp pad.

The mop roller comes with several other clever features, including a dock that can be connected to the plumbing system in your home to wash and clean it without having to refill the mop. You can even make use of voice commands using the built-in voice assistant of the S8 that can be activated by saying "Hey Rocky" to specify the cleaning of your room, modes, and granular controls with your voice.

2. Yeedi Cube

If you're looking for a hands-free robot vacuum with mopping capabilities the Yeedi Cube is one of the more flexible choices. It's among the many combination robot vacuums that have mopping capabilities that are available at a lower cost than competitors.

Like all robovacs, the Yeedi Cube also requires some work to get it started. This involves setting up an account on the app and connecting the device to your WiFi network. Once that's done, though the robot is able to begin mopping and vacuuming with ease.

It is important to remember that the mapping process may take a while and the Yeedi Cube may need a few attempts before it has an accurate image of your room. Additionally, object detection can be unpredictable It was able to get around furniture and other obstacles but was stuck on a loose tassel rug and had to turn it over to get free. These are minor flaws and the Yeedi Cube remains a great choice for those in need of a cleaning companion that does all of the above.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete delivers a three-in-one home cleaning solution. Its advanced mopping features a rotating motion similar to hand scrubbing, which results in floors that are genuinely cleaned, not just cleaned. And autonomous vacuum is a game changer that enables you to reach areas that a robotic vacuum can't.

The model is basically identical to the popular X2 Omni, but with an a bit higher suction capacity of 8700Pa and other intelligent features. The RGBD sensor upgrade can be used to learn your home's surroundings and provide the ability to avoid obstacles in a dynamic manner. And the smart app lets you modify the settings of your choice, including scheduling, AI cleanings, and setting virtual boundaries.

The X2 Combo is also self-prepping, with both the robot vacuum as well as the mop returning to their charging base after each job to wash their pads, empty their dust bins, and then place the debris in bags that self-seal. This helps keep the system tidy and stops allergens from returning to the system. Its battery life is long enough to handle large spaces without needing a recharge mid-clean.

4. Eufy S1 Pro

As one of the more expensive robot vacuum and mop models that we have reviewed, the Eufy S1 Pro offers impressive features for the price. It has a powerful 8,000 Pa suction, a rotary floor brush for carpets and a fantastic obstacle avoidance. It also has an unique mopping method that uses a roller constantly sprayed with water to collect dirt and then deposit it in the water tank.

Its navigation technology was effective and was able to navigate close to walls without falling and staying clear of stairs. However, it did struggle with fine engrained debris and didn't always remove raised thresholds in rooms. Its operating sound level is also high, so this model might not be as easy to set and forget as the other models.

Like many robotic vacuums and mops, the S1 Pro comes with a docking station that lets you replenish its clean water and empty its dust bin and mop pad, and wash and dry its mop. This makes maintenance easy and allows the S1 Pro spend more time cleaning floors in accordance with a regular schedule. You can manage all of its functions through the Eufy app. It provides an easy overview and lots of configurability.

5. Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is one of the best robot vacuums/mowers available, and offers impressive mixed vacuuming and mopping performance. Its LIDAR mapping sensor is able to recognize furniture legs and other obstacles with decent precision, and the app allows users to fine-tune map coverage, create no-go zones, and modify cleaning preferences. The Freo's main roller brush is also designed to prevent hair from wrapping around it, which could be an issue for many robotic vacuums.

The Mop Mode also impresses, with Reuleaux triangular mop heads spinning at 180 RPM, while applying up to 12N downward pressure. The mopping system is also equipped with intelligent carpet detection, lifting the pads up when they're close to soft surfaces, preventing them from contaminating them.

The docking station is an automated maintenance center that automatically washes and dries the mops and refills them with detergent and distilled water. The base station also comes with integrated dust processing that compacts dust for 7 weeks of hassle-free operation unlike traditional robot vacuums that empty their dust bins every time they are cleaned.

6. S10

This robot is a few hundred dollars less than the S8 and does a fantastic job of keeping my office tidy. It is also able to reach the corners of my small apartment. It makes use of laser mapping and a camera to create a map of your home and knows which areas to avoid. It has an object/obstacle detector that will stay clear of things like toys and dog bowls (but not Poop) unlike other vacuums.

Other fantastic features include a self-emptying dustbin, a mop that is self-washing and adjustable for water temperature, and an extended side-reaching brush that is able to reach areas that other mops miss. You can also set your own cleaning schedule in the app and customize the settings for each room in your home.

It comes with the same multi-room smart mapping feature as the S8 and can differentiate between laminate and carpets, with high-pile rugs. It can also avoid mopping rooms that are not dirty if you're looking to reduce time. If you have a variety of flooring options in your home and don't want to spend extra money on a Roborock that comes with advanced mapping capabilities it is a great option.

7. Q5 Pro

This robot is a great choice if you are looking for a versatile robot that can do both regular maintenance on a daily basis and touch-ups to wet messes. It has a wide range of features including the ability to empty the dustbin on its own as well as the water refill dock, and customizable settings in the app. It's extremely quiet and easily moves around furniture legs or socks. It's not able to pick up knots in the rug, and its battery drains quicker than other models we've tested.

With a cost of less than $250, the Q5 Pro is a bargain-friendly device that packs powerful suction and useful automation into a sleek design. It didn't score quite as well in our vacuuming and mopping tests like the more expensive Roborock S8MaxV Ultra however it did extremely well overall. It also comes with a variety of cleaning modes to suit your needs, from the low-power 'Quiet' option for light debris to the more powerful 'Turbo' mode for carpeted rooms. It can even be programmed to automatically remove and reattach mop pads, without getting your carpets wet.

8. K10 Plus

The K10 Plus is an excellent robot mop and vacuum cleaner that can be used in small areas. It's very quiet and fast and does a great job of navigating tight spots. It's also extremely effective at removing pet hair off carpeting.

It's smaller than its rivals, but doesn't sacrifice any features. It has a good amount of suction power and it is able to take photos of any object it picks up (i.e. chew toys, or socks) and mark them as 'not found in the app, so that they won't be taken up in subsequent cleanings. The photos are secure, and aren't tied to your account.

It does a fantastic job of vaccuming, but it isn't as good at mopping. It uses disposable wet wipes that are clipped onto the bottom of the bot, and it essentially drags them across your floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra or Narwhal which have water reservoirs, and automatically wash and attach their mophead.
