A sound-based sensor is also known as capacitive sensors, detects the presence of objects around by utilizing an acoustic wave. The sensors employ an oscillator that generates the signal, which is transmitted through the air and picked up by a microphone, which converts it into an audio file. The audio files are examined to determine their proximity and similarity. When they are within a certain distance to each other, the system will send an alert message to the key. It will also send an ID signal that matches the vehicle.

The sensors open the doors when the key fob is in close proximity to the vehicle (about five feet). When you open the trunk, or use the door handle the car recognizes the key and starts the motor.

You can also utilize your key fob to activate the start-up feature of your vehicle's push button. You can start the engine by pressing the Start/Stop buttons integrated into the center console, if the key fob is in your pocket or purse.
