World of Warcraft Item Upgrades The item upgrade feature allows players to upgrade their existing equipment. This can be done at any upgrader NPC. Upgrades boost the stats of an item and add extras depending on its type. Examples include Whistan’s shield for FB Sorcs, or Goldwraps for caster builds. Armour Armour is among the main factors that keep Link protected from injury in the majority of situations. While it can't be upgraded like weapons, it can still be improved in a variety of ways to improve its defence capabilities. Armour is designed to safeguard animals and people from harm or injury, whether it's from a direct physical attack or a variety of hazards posed by the environment or activities. In the past, most armour was made from leather or fabric, but metal protections were also employed in military applications, particularly such as heavy cavalry and combat drones. As with weapons, there are a number of ways that armor can be upgraded however, most of them will require a visit to one of the four Great Fairy Fountains located throughout Hyrule. Each fountain has a distinct degree of improvement and more protection levels requiring more rupees and materials. First, Armor Upgrades are permanent upgrades. Once they've been applied and removed, they cannot be reverted until you own a different piece of equipment with the same upgrade. It is essential to only apply the highest level of upgrades to your gear and that you have enough of the required materials to complete the upgrade. For those who want to acquire the upgrade components needed, you'll find them in various locations around Hyrule, including shrines, merchants and even enemies. They're usually identified by the blue triangle or gold circle and are found in huge numbers as you progress. Although they can appear randomly, there's the possibility that acquiring certain upgrade elements will lead to quests that reward you with more. It is also important to note that even though the amount of protection provided by each upgrade varies but it's the same for all upgrades and will always be better than nothing. A complete set of upgraded armor will give you a high-defense boost that protects you from all types of attacks including magic. This makes it a formidable weapon for any type of. Weapons If you'd like to make your guns truly unique, you can enhance them with a variety of special upgrades. They can increase the damage, alter the weapon's stats to cater to your specific build or even unlock new attachments such as unique enchantments, ammo types and other options for aesthetics. To upgrade a weapon you'll require an upgrade component in place as well as the item itself. The weapon should be at a minimum of a certain level to upgrade it. Most weapons only take one upgrade. Weapon upgrade components are available scattered throughout the world, from a variety of sources, including merchants or enemies. The upgrade components themselves are a combination of ingredients that can be incorporated into armor, weapons trinkets and gathering tools to give an attribute bonus or additional effect when they are in use. They require that the equipment be of a certain level to be able to take the upgrade. They can be upgraded in the same way as other items. The upgrades themselves are a combination of Smithing Stones and Runes, and they can be used to enhance the stats of the base weapon, and also to increase its scalability with other stats. They can be found among enemies who drop them in the open, bought from certain merchants or found from combat. Two NPCs can enhance your weapon: Blacksmith Hewg, located in the Roundtable Hold hub zone and the Smithing Master Iji, in the Road to Manor hub zone. Both of these NPCs will take your Smithing Stones and Runes in exchange for a more powerful version of the weapon and an enhancement. Prioritize upgrading your top-in-slot items first. Then upgrade those that you aren't likely to replace anytime soon. If you're playing a melee build, for instance, upgrade your weapon, then your chest and shoulders before your hands and feet. The same principles apply to Magic and Utility Items, with the caveat that some procs may be better than others depending on your playstyle. The same goes for Armour and reforges, with some being superior to others. Magic Items A character is able to upgrade only one item of magic. If an upgrade project is cancelled, no more upgrades will be made for the item. Upgraded magic items cost twice as much gold to make or purchase, but can have additional benefits. A magical item is any item with special properties or effects. The majority of these items are weapons, but some include armor, shields, cloaks, potions, scrolls, rings, and other items. Some of these items are telepathic. The majority of magic items have their abilities enhanced. This makes them more useful to players or help players overcome difficult situations. A weapon infused with an ingredient that is unique could, for instance, provide extra damage against a certain kind of enemy. This is particularly beneficial for characters that have reached a level where they will likely face the same type of monster in dungeons over and over again. A ring that is infused with magic could grant immunity to nonmagical attacks that bludgeon, pierce, or cut (excluding attacks that are silvered) until the character takes another long rest. This can be particularly helpful for combatants who are melee or anyone who wishes to save the hassle and expense of buying an armor. Some enchanted items have special abilities which allow the character to cast spells in addition to those listed on the list of spells for their class. This is useful for those who are having trouble filling their spell slots because of multiclassing. These items that are enchanted typically require an Intelligence (Arcana) check prior to use, and the spell's effectiveness is determined by rolling on an array of tables based on the number of Intelligence points expended. Other objects with enchanted powers could allow the player's appearance to be changed, or they could even create a completely new one. These items are particularly beneficial for characters who are forced to leave their home, or are in a location in which they are not welcomed. A magical item could give them the ability to disappear or make them invisible to anyone, excluding the person they choose to. Utility Items Utility items are products that do not fall under the categories of Clothing, Armor or Weapons, and provide a range of different capabilities. Utility items aren't compatible with each other, unlike weapons or armor. The majority of utility items have a passive effect that players can activate by using them. Some have additional abilities that are activated by pressing a button or activating an ability. Generally speaking, the most popular kind of utility item is the Flashlight that illuminates the surrounding area. Other items of utility include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow the player to be floating in the air while moving and the Jetpack which allows players to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. In the Engineering section, you can quickly create a variety of utility items, while others are available only through research projects or experimental projects on the Proving Ground. Players can unlock more powerful utility items in addition to the items they have in their usual inventory by purchasing them at the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards. Some of these items can be upgraded for more efficient use. Most utility items provide the player with a navigational advantage or increase the effectiveness of a particular combat skill. Sharpening stones, made by an Weaponsmith will increase power and Ferocity while Maintenance Oils, crafted by a Huntsman will increase concentration and healing power. Other utility items like Writs and Theses created by the Scribe can be used to give the player an increase in damage or condition damage. All XCOM soldiers are capable of equipping one utility item at the beginning of the campaign. Later, an additional slot becomes available by acquiring certain types of armor or completing engineering, research or experiments in the Proving Ground. During the Alien Hunters downloadable content, additional slots can be obtained by equipping the Grenade Launcher. This enables players to make use of the Smoke Grenade or Bomb while an offensive grenade remains in the primary slot.
