Mid Autumn Festival is a Korean holiday that falls on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar. It is a time to give thanks for the harvest and to enjoy the full moon. Families get together to have a picnic dinner and eat mooncakes. Lanterns are also lit and floated on rivers and streams.
