Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components A specific item can be used to transform specific Pokemon. The upgrade can be obtained by spinning a PokeStop photo disc. It's often given as a prize in Pokemon GO events. The Upgrade can also be placed in weapons, armor trinkets, and gathering tools to increase the level of their item. The upgrade cost Flightstones and crests, based on the type of item. Upgrade components Upgrade components can be placed into weapons, armor trinkets and gathering tools to give bonus effects or attributes while the equipment is being utilized. The equipment that is upgraded must have an upgrade slot that can accept the component, and most upgrade components require the item to be upgraded to be at a certain level. Some upgrade item s have special effects that appear when they are applied. Upgrade components can be obtained through crafting, bought by karma merchants or exchanged with other players through the Trading Post. They can also be salvaged from equipment and received as rewards. There are various upgrade components, each with distinct bonuses. Universal upgrades, which include gems and inscriptions, can be used with any kind of equipment, and offer smaller bonuses than other types of upgrade components. Infusions can be found in non-amulet ascended equipment as well as legendary equipment, while enhancements are used for some items that are ascended back. Most upgrade components can be replaced if they are slotted into an item, but doing so can destroy the previous upgrade. There are exceptions for glyphs (which can only be inserted into gathering tools) and enchantments, which are able to be removed and put back in. Insignias or enchantments, as well as prefix/suffix upgrades will be displayed in the hover display of the item and they will be added to the equipment's name (e.g. a Radiant Insignia will change the name into Radiant Tyrian Armor). The number of upgrade components that have been added to an item will be displayed in the item's tooltip. Glyphs Glyphs are special characters that can be inserted into an OpenType font to add functional or decorative elements, like ligatures, fractions, ornaments, swashes registered trademark symbols, and ellipses. The Glyphs panel allows you to view and insert these special characters as well as regular glyphs like em dashes and en dashes registered trademark symbols and glyphs that don't appear in other fonts (such as dingbats). Each Glyph provides an initial boost to the stats of the character. It also comes with up to four Secondary Stats that affect the radius of the glyph on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a %-increase which is multiplied once other bonuses are applied except for Speed Glyphs which directly increase the hero's speed. The Glyphs in your inventory can be activated by selecting them and then clicking the "enchant" button. This will display a new window with the Glyphs you own that can be applied to the item you have selected. Be aware that only the correct kind of Glyph can be applied to the item you are looking for in that each weapon, jewelry or armor piece can have a different set of available Glyphs. You can level up Glyphs by working through Tree of Whisper Quests or Nightmare Dungeons. The more difficult the dungeon, the higher the amount of Glyph experience you'll earn. Once a Glyph is at level 15 it can be upgraded via the Glyph Upgrade Altar. Upgrading a Glyph increases its radius on the Paragon Board by one node every 15 levels. Once a Glyph has been elevated to the desired level You can activate it by selecting it, then pressing the "enchant" button. The Glyph that is created will grant its stated benefit, and will also increase the number of nodes within its range on the Paragon Board. It's important to place Glyphs where they will be most beneficial to your build, and that is why it's a good idea to prioritize Magic Glyphs early on. Rare glyphs can also provide double bonuses when certain conditions are satisfied. Click the cycle widget to change the view of the Glyphs Panel. Each view displays the Glyphs using a different font. You can narrow the list of glyphs further by selecting an option beneath "Entire Font": for example, punctuation displays only punctuation glyphs, while Math Symbols restricts the selection to mathematical symbols. Rerolling Rerolling involves establishing an account on a different account to increase your chances of getting a character or weapon you'd like. It can be done increase your level faster, or to gain better loot such as an additional weapon for your character. Many players will reroll until they have the characters they like regardless of their strength. This can be because they like the character's design or character. When you reroll, you need to ensure that the changes you're making are clean. You should verify locally if the patch passes pre-commit and run a core dev test. You should upload the patch with a clear distinction to a problem (see What is an interdiff?) ). Rerolls can take a few days or weeks, depending on how lucky you are. To cut down on time avoid enemy camps that are optional during this time. Also, avoid repeating quests which can be completed later on in the game. This can save you time and energy. Another important aspect to consider when rerolling is to make sure that you are aware of the upgrade system. There are several ways to enhance your character's strength and appearance. Upgrades, rerolling characters or upgrading weapons are all options. It is also crucial to know the limitations of the system. Rerolling may not be necessary, but it is an option to increase your chances of getting a certain character or weapon. It could be beneficial in the case of trying to find the best character or if you want to try out different builds and play styles. Sets A set is an object collection having two common attributes (like the number of eggs in a dozen, or the members of a group). Sets are used for operations such as intersection, union and difference. Upgrades make a set item better than it was before. This means that the weapon and armor will have a greater defense and lower requirement for strength. Upgrades are an excellent method of bringing popular single-set items to the same level as their higher-tier set counterparts. For example upgrading Guillaume's Face helm to Elite Spired Helm increases the defense from 217 to 321 while reducing the strength requirement and level requirement to a more attainable range. However it's important to keep in mind that not all set items are candidates for upgrading. Some sets, such as the FB Sorc Whistan's Shield, a spec's item or Naj's Puzzler staff, are already Elite and Exceptional in their individual ways and do not need upgrading. Certain items, such as Goldwrap and Whistan's Shield (both BiS) that are frequently used may benefit from an upgrade to increase their stats. It could be worthwhile to upgrade these items.
