World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

The upgrade of an item lets players increase an item's gear rating up 700 points and also give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory before heading to the kiln.

Certain items can be upgraded for their unique stats (like perfect made breakpoint armour that can be rolled to use in melee PvP) and others, like weapons, do not vary greatly post upgrade, so they aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to boost their numeric stats like crit chance, attack damage as well as PvE and damage from PvP. Weapons also have a flat bonus which increases the damage they deal per second. A lot of weapons also come with an unaffected bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are equipped in a single unit. In some instances, this bonus could amount to more than the amount of damage that a weapon is able to upgrade by itself.

The cost of upgrading a weapon depends on its rarity and current level. For example the weapon with a +2 rating will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while a +3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade the gun will increase until it needs a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.

Upgrading weapons will also reroll their base stats. While this is generally a good thing however, it could have negative consequences as well. For items that only see use in a certain build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs for instance) upgrading them can render them useless unless you have an extremely lucky roll.

Items of armor can also be upgraded to improve their effectiveness. In the case of chests or helms it will boost the defense of its base, while gloves and belts improve their required strength and dexterity. Armor also offers a reroll option for its Enhanced Defense%, meaning that it could change its roll to a lower value.

The upgrade template for a weapon displays the new stats that it will gain when upgraded, along with their relative values. This means that an upgrade from a sword with 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword would result in a weapon receiving 33% attack damage. However, the 3% doesn't mean that it will hit 3 times less often, since it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon is also possible by pressing the green button on the item menu with the arrows that circle. This will roll an item and alter its stats but not reset the weapon's levels, or bind it to account status.

Armor

Adding a few upgrades to your armor can make huge differences in your ability to endure. Certain sets can offer massive increases in resistance to poison, curses, fire, and magic. This makes it easier to navigate difficult areas. In upgrade item , the greater defense your character is, the more value you get out of each point of health you have therefore it is important to upgrade your armor as much as you can.

To upgrade your armor, go to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four of them each of which requires you to complete a unique side quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed the main quest and the associated fountains, you'll have the option of talking to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels and the amount of material and Rupees required to complete each level will differ. In general, you'll be looking at anything from three to five Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees for the first upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and ten Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, for example, can be upgraded to a +5 defense rating, which allows you to keep up in frigid conditions with a large number of enemies. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other hand, can be upgraded to +20 defense to ensure you can survive a raid with your comrades.

You can't upgrade armor in the same way as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior it is best to focus on upgrading your armor to increase physical power or spell power. You should also save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you will still be wearing by the end of the story, such as the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you'll wear in the final boss fight, the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.

You can also get some benefits to your armor by presenting the jeweler at Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. Generally speaking, you'll want to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to beat the game, such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer, but it can be beneficial to have a few upgrades to your chest armor and helmets to allow you to stealth around certain monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquid substances that, when consumed provide the user with a temporary status effect. There are five different types of potions, each with a specific set of effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to enhance their level of effectiveness. You can also increase the effects of certain potions by adding glowstone dust and redstone.

Potion upgrades cost a certain amount of XP. These can be earned by crafting them on a table or in an chest of the Alchemist. The upgrade price varies depending on the type of potion as well as the item's rarity as well as Mark Level.

To upgrade a potions simply right-click on it in your inventory. Then select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open a GUI that allows you to select the potion you want to upgrade and the amount of experience they will provide when upgraded. Upgrades to potions can be made in batches of up to five at a time, and the XP they provide will be added to your current XP level.

Once a potion is upgraded in quality, it will not deteriorate unless you take it out again or break the bottle in the container it is kept. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will also allow you to rename it.

There were some changes to the mechanics of potion in version 1.7.2. For example, splash potions now have a duration of 0:08 (this is not the equivalent of 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display for the item). The potion table can now be crafted with four Wood Planks and two Glass. It can now be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Contrary to Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions are not able to be used in cauldrons. The same applies to using a potion within the cauldron that is filled. This will drain the potion and refill the bottle.

Finally, there are simmering potions that are made using dragon breath and splash potions. Similarly, a lingering potions can be enhanced by adding redstone. The potion table is rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added, like the potion of leaping and decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket could be an ornament that is small and inexpensive or piece jewelry. It could also refer to an ornament or object that has a purpose but isn't important such as a Thimble. In certain cultures, trinkets are used to signify friendship or affection, especially between family members.

In addition to armor, weapons and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. They can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate currency. As with other upgrades to items trinkets, trinkets can be exchanged at will without losing their status.

Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of every zone, and sometimes in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased using tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets.

Upgrading a trinket is a cost-effective alternative to purchasing new ones. It can be done by players for less than 12 tokens. The new trinket will feature the same base ilvl as the older one, and come with an additional 1% upgrade bonus.

Trinkets can be upgraded once the old ones are no longer needed, allowing a player to boost their power and value over time. They can be traded among players which makes them a good alternative to gold.

Players must upgrade their most valuable items first. This means that the most-important slot items for each class are upgraded first before their secondary gear and other pieces of equipment that will not replace in the near future (such as rings or cloaks). When choosing which items to upgrade, players should also take into account their class's preferred statistics. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to tank players and they want to upgrade their chest, helm and shoulders.

When they are no longer useful trinkets can be upgraded to a greater level. The upgraded trinket will give you an additional 1percent bonus. However, a re-upgrade can ruin the previous trinket until it is salvaged with a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an alternative salvage tool that is higher-end. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades, but still cheaper than buying new ones.
