The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He tests and evaluates cleaning appliances. His focus is on mopping and robot vacuum combinations. These multitaskers are an excellent choice for those who want to get mopping off their to-do list. They are equipped with impressive mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance capabilities, and some even wash and refill their own mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model to choose if you want an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other models on this list making it easier to maneuver through tight corners and under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to replenish its battery during the cleaning.

It's very fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in a single pass. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to pick up dirt, pet hair, and even droppings with ease. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it encounters rugs and the two side brushes help draw away debris from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, is not as effective. The rotating mop spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arms protrude out a bit more than other robots, which is helpful to maneuver around tight corners and along baseboards. Those same front arms can be used to clean up larger debris, like broken toys and fallen books.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've tried. It doesn't produce the same volume of sound while vacuuming or mopping and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping, and is sold separately from the vacuum. It is easy to set up and works well. However when you purchase this vacuum solely for mopping purposes it is important to be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums that mop in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it a great choice for homeowners who want an efficient, flexible and adaptable cleaning machine.

The device has a powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the house and identify furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean effectively and efficiently. This will ensure an efficient and consistent cleaning and is also quick.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other hard to reach places. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor close to the walls or other fixtures. The mop pads can also be washable and dry to remove odors and prevent buildup.

App-based customization is another notable feature. The Q Revo lets you adjust the intensity of its suction and select between a back-and-forth or slightly more randomized pattern. robot vacuum cleaner reviews can also alter the number of passes it should make, which will affect how quickly the device can traverse your home. You can also choose to turn off the side brush to prevent damaging rugs and carpets.

It's expensive, but has many smart features. It is important to note that the device will incur periodic costs in the form of mopping equipment and regular maintenance. For example the brushroll has to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter will need to be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad must be replaced every one to three months.

This robot vacuum mop has a high Amazon rating and comes with an array of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also comes with an power button that doubles as a 'Clean button' and a Home button that allows it to go home after cleaning. It also has a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dries its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home neat without spending too much time on chores. It has powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that allows you to keep your home clean with little effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one vacuum and mop. It can do both vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot is divided into two components which include a dry bin and water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping unit that includes a microfiber pad. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming may seem a bit old-fashioned but they're a good thing because you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its precise floorplan map, which it employs when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers that help to protect certain areas of your house from being scrubbed with a mop.

We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up hair of pets. It was able capture the majority of hair that shed by our cats and even got into the nooks and crannys of our stairs while other robots struggled. robot vacuums reviews was fairly quiet and had some lovely jingles to let you know when it was starting or finished its work.

Its main drawbacks were its simple app and the need to change out the modules whenever switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app doesn't have the capacity to hold multiple maps, which can be a problem when you live in a house that has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want a smart robot that can perform both vacuuming and mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. However, it has some unique features which make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni is most notable for its huge dock that doubles as a charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dust bin and the 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.

The base also has a number of control buttons that let you manually start a cleaning task, recall the robot, or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Hold down two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents who are concerned about their children playing with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at finding objects.

The X1 can be prone to get stuck if it is entangled in a blockage like a power cable tangled over a rug. It will not work until you untangle it manually. This was a rare occurrence, but frustrating nonetheless, since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert on its application.

Another possible issue is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually switch between the two, which isn't too bad except for the fact that the mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between use which could lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a big departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an excellent choice for an industry dominated by boxy units.
