This feature is available on the fourth generation OCTAVIA as in addition to the electric ENYAQ.

You'll need a keyfob that has sensors that can identify your vehicle in order to use the keyless system. The sensor is located on one of the front door handles and functions as a transmitter. When you approach the car, it sends a request to all key fobs in its area asking them to tell whether the sensor recognizes them. If the signal is received the key fob will return an answer, telling the car that it's the right key. The key can unlock the doors and boot.

You can disable the keyless entry if you don't use it. It's usually a straightforward procedure, but it could be necessary to check the manual for your car for specific instructions. It's often a case of selecting the Settings menu, locating the relevant options and selecting 'keyless go' or similar.

You can turn off keyless entry by going to the settings menu on your vehicle. This is a good option if you're going on an extended trip and do not want to leave the engine running in a driveway or garage. It's not hard to forget to turn off the engine after you leave your car, and in some cases it has led to carbon monoxide poisoning.

The OCTAVIA and electric ENYAQ iV, for example, are equipped with a UWB box that uses a time-based portion of the signal to verify whether or not it's from the correct key.

Another useful function of the new technology is the electronic parking brake. This doesn't just create more space between the front seats it also improves comfort and safety. The system can detect whether the vehicle is stationary or moving, and will then automatically activate the brake to stop it from rolling away when you stop or you are moving away from the intersection.
