robot vacuum cleaners reviews and Mop

Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt) and wet messes (spills or staining) in one session without the need to switch out devices. They can also reduce space compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living areas.

A good combination bot must have impressive navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models with docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, replenish their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It has a lot to offer for its low cost and is one of the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you up and running with a clean, full dust bag, hard floor solution and water tank in no time at all.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops spin at high speeds and apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of pet hair, dirt and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a variety of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.

You can, for example ask the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly, but leave the bedroom in its own space. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and its smart navigation technology are superb and the robot is capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. The only problem is that it tends to hit walls and objects at a high speed. However looking at the cleaning history on the app will reveal precisely what the robot has accomplished, where it's moving, and what obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.

The docking station comes with an LCD display that shows when maintenance is needed like emptying the debris and washing the water tank that is dirty. It also mixes detergent into the water tank in a controlled manner by using a 600ml eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time as well, with the mop being capable of running for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode and the vacuum able to do 136 minutes in normal mode before needing to recharge or return to the base to refill. The app is easy to use and intuitive and lets you look at all the details of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's flagship robot vacuum and mop. Unlike last year's model this one has an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to remove fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners may miss.

This Roborock model, just like the other two I tried, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it overcome obstacles like furniture, walls, and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating a dual-camera that can identify objects, and determine if they are walls or other surfaces. It will then automatically alter its direction and clean the objects without a pause.

It's the most expensive model I've tested and it comes with the most features. Its sleek, angular design is attractive and it has just three physical buttons which include the power button which also resumes cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock and a home button to send the robot back to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin automatically refills.

The only downside I've discovered with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. It is possible to change the mopping cloth if required, but it's a challenge to remove the mount to wash it manually. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mount, which can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number clever features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can manage and set up these through the Roborock app which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you schedule cleanings and track the battery's lifespan. But you'll need to jump through a few hurdles to enable voice control with this model which is unfortunate considering how well it performs otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop with exceptional suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and innovative features. Its intelligent design allows users to tailor and effectively clean while reducing time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful choices available. This powerful vacuum removes the dry mess, which includes pet hair and food particles. It comes with a mop that is excellent quality that can clean hard floors without using a pad. The X40 is also very quiet when in operation and only occasionally bursting during modes changes or self-maintenance.

Another notable feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brush, that allows it to reach hard-to-reach corners and intimately clean furniture such as table and chairs' legs. It also allows the robot to access furniture that is low-profile which makes it a great choice for small apartments and condominiums with small spaces. The side brush automatically tilts down when it spots wet spots. This is a wonderful feature that helps the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through repeated back-and-forth movements.

Contrary to other robots, which are limited to a single task, the X40 can vacuum and mop at the same time. It can also be programmed to avoid areas that have carpet and only mop hard floors or vice versa. It can be controlled via the Dreame app or via Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is user-friendly and user-friendly and the X40's clever features are a breeze to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, view mapping and floor plans, and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and inform you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many features which make it a good option for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, then refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It can also tell when the mop pad is full and notify you when it overflows, reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It has several features that make it stand out. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub that uses two high-speed mops to scrub floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and it has an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, dirt particles and remove spills and dirt-stained spots.

The mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after each use. This feature is great because it stops mould and unpleasant odours from accumulating in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we've yet to see on other robot vacuums and mop models, and it could be a useful way of keeping your home cleaner for longer.

There are a lot of options, including the option to schedule cleanings and adjust preferences. These can be set via the app or there are direct buttons on the unit itself. The app is easy to use and provides a number of options for customising your cleaning routine. It also has a number of functions that are not available on other robots, such as the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction whenever it detects dust particles.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen in the market, sporting metallic and white design that is elegant and stylish. It's heavier than the other two-in-one robots on this list - at 4kg but it's not too heavy, and is sturdy and well-built. Mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mops work well on hard floors as well as in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them extend up to 2mm below the baseboards.
