Motorcycle Driving Course A1

The course provides comprehensive preparation for the Module One and Module Two tests. The training includes practicing angle starts from parked vehicles and hill starts as along with basic road riding skills such as controlled stops and emergency responses.

The IME course will teach you the fundamentals of riding a motorcycle, and help you develop mental strategies that are safe. It will also allow you to earn an insurance discount premiums.

Theory

The course includes the necessary theoretical preparation for the test. You can study on your own using online lessons as well as the theory materials. You will receive instructions on how to take part in these classes (remotely in the virtual classroom in Finnish) after you have enrolled in our student system and you can choose the most convenient time slot from our offered sessions.

In this section, your driving instructor will help you understand the basics of motorcycling. If you are unable to pass the test on the date that is specified in your training schedule, we will not be able to book any DVSA test for you as a resit, and you will need to pay the appropriate fee for resit at time of booking.

In addition to the theoretical course, motorcycle driving courses comprise a number of practical classes. These are the most important parts of your learning process and can be spread over some weeks or even months, based on your requirements. You will need your own bike to complete this course. It is essential to pick a motorcycle that is easy to handle but not too speedy or heavy. A good place to begin is with an a 50cc moped or scooter.

The practical test is the next step after you have completed your theory training. This is divided into two sections: Module 1 and Module 2. The first portion of Module 1 is a 40 minute road ride. The second part is an independent riding portion lasting 10 minutes. You will have to complete both sections to obtain your license.

The Assessment

You must have completed the Initial Basic Training (IBT) before you can start training for your A1 motorcycle license. After you have passed the IBT, your instructor provides feedback and will decide if you are ready to proceed to the next stage of your training.

After you've passed the IBT test your instructor will prepare you for the A1 practical exam. The test is divided into two modules. You must pass both to be able to get your license. A1 courses offer both theory and practical classes. Licensing

To pass the test you must have completed at least five hours of riding on Federal or Country Roads and four additional hours during daytime or dawn.
